Background: Chronic hyperglycemia causes diabetic nephropathy(DN), which is a typical microvascular complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus. The pathogenesis of DN is not fully understanding. The inflammation may possess a significant role in the progression of DN in diabetic patients. Method: The study accomplished at teaching laboratories of medical city, Baghdad, Iraq. It was included 50uncontrolled diabetic type 2 patients with nephropathy, age range (40-78) years and 42 controlled diabetics type 2 without nephropathy, age range (35 - 52) years as a control group. An attempt was made to determine the insect parasites of cockroaches in Iraq. As a result of this survey three species of Hymenoptera representing two separate families, which have been reared from ootheca of cockroaches were recovered. These were: Evania dimidiata Fabricius, Evania appendigaster (Linnaeus) (Evaniidae) and Anastatus longicornis sp. n. (Eupelmidae) which described here as a new species from Iraq.

Nutlets of 22 taxa of Stachys (13 species and seven subspecies and two varieties), representing seven of the currently recognized sections distributed in northern Iraq were examined by light microscope.
