Symmetric- Based Steganography Technique Using Spiral-Searching Method for HSV Color Images
...Show More Authors

Steganography is defined as hiding confidential information in some other chosen media without leaving any clear evidence of changing the media's features. Most traditional hiding methods hide the message directly in the covered media like (text, image, audio, and video). Some hiding techniques leave a negative effect on the cover image, so sometimes the change in the carrier medium can be detected by human and machine. The purpose of suggesting hiding information is to make this change undetectable. The current research focuses on using complex method to prevent the detection of hiding information by human and machine based on spiral search method, the Structural Similarity Index Metrics measures are used to get the accuracy and quality of the retrieved image and to improve its perceived quality.

The values of information measures are calculated through practical experiments of (perceptibility, robustness, capacity) by using interpolation technique and structural similarity measures. Experimental results show that the use of these measures (PSNR, MSE, and SSIM) has improved the image quality by 87% and has produced values of PSNR (38-41 dB), MSE = 0.6537 and SSIM= 0.8255. The results also demonstrate a remarkable progress in the field of hiding information and the increasing difficulty of detecting it by humans and machines.

Unsteady nonlinear panel method with mixed boundary conditions
...Show More Authors

A new panel method had been developed to account for unsteady nonlinear subsonic flow. Two boundary conditions were used to solve the potential flow about complex configurations of airplanes. Dirichlet boundary condition and Neumann formulation are frequently applied to the configurations that have thick and thin surfaces respectively. Mixed boundary conditions were used in the present work to simulate the connection between thick fuselage and thin wing surfaces. The matrix of linear equations was solved every time step in a marching technique with Kelvin's theorem for the unsteady wake modeling. To make the method closer to the experimental data, a Nonlinear stripe theory which is based on a two-dimensional viscous-inviscid interac

MEASURING OBESITYLEVEL BY BIO-ELECTRICAL IMPEDANCE ANALYSIS TECHNIQUE AND COMPARED TO TRADITIONAL METHODS: MEASURING OBESITYLEVEL BY BIO-ELECTRICAL IMPEDANCE ANALYSIS TECHNIQUE AND COMPARED TO TRADITIONAL METHODS
...Show More Authors

This study aimed to determine obesity level of some population in Baghdad by using Bio-electrical impedance analysis (BIA) and compared with anthropometric measurements such as body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC) and waist-to-hip ratio (WHR). Statistical analysis results of linear correlation coefficients for obesity indicators showed that BIA correlation 0.92 was most significant and reliable for obesity measurement.

Results of BIA method for age group 20-29 years showed that 44.4% of females were healthy body while 37.8% of males suffer from increased body fat. Results of age group 30-39 year showed that 32.6 of females were in healthy body and 42% of males were obese. In case age group 40-4

Spectrophotometric Determination of Copper(II) using 2,2[O-Tolidine-4,4-bis azo]bis[4,5-diphenyl imidazole](MBBAI)
...Show More Authors

Spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of copper(II) ion. Synthesized (2,2[O-Tolidine-4,4-bis azo]bis[4,5-diphenyl imidazole]) (MBBAI) was used as chromogenic reagent at pH=5. Various factors affecting complex formation, such as, pH effect, reagent concentration, time effect and temperature effect, have been considered and studied. Under optimum conditions concentration ranged from (5.00-80.00) µg/mL of copper(II) obeyed Beer`s Low. Maximum absorption of the complex was 409nm with molar absorpitivity 0.127x104 L mol-1 cm-1. Limit of detection(LOD) and Limit of quantification were 1.924 and 6.42 μg/mL, respectively.

Anew Spectrophotometric Method For The Determination of La (III) With 3-Hydroxy -4-(2-hydroxy –Phenyl azo)Naphthalene -1-Sulfonic Acid
...Show More Authors

A simple, rapid and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been proposed for the determination of La (III) using 3-hydroxy -4-(2-hydroxy-phenyl azo) naphthalene -1- sulfonic acid as a chromogenic reagent. This method is based on the formation of a red-pink colored complex, upon the reaction of La(III) with the reagent in an alkaline medium (pH= 9.50), having a maximum absorbance at 459 nm. Beer's law is valid in the concentration range 0.512 µg.ml-1 with a Sandell's sensitivity value of 0.0188 µg.cm-2 and molar absorptivity of 7376.12 L.mol-1.cm-1. The stoichiometric composition of the chelate is 1:3. The effect of the presence of different cations as interferants in the determination of La(III) under the given optimum conditions wer

Hybrid DWT-DCT compression algorithm & a new flipping block with an adaptive RLE method for high medical image compression ratio
...Show More Authors

Huge number of medical images are generated and needs for more storage capacity and bandwidth for transferring over the networks. Hybrid DWT-DCT compression algorithm is applied to compress the medical images by exploiting the features of both techniques. Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) coding is applied to image YCbCr color model which decompose image bands into four subbands (LL, HL, LH and HH). The LL subband is transformed into low and high frequency components using Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) to be quantize by scalar quantization that was applied on all image bands, the quantization parameters where reduced by half for the luminance band while it is the same for the chrominance bands to preserve the image quality, the zig
