Four photosensitizers were used to test inhibitory effect of Helicobacter pylori bacteria using
low power helium: neon red laser radiation. Biopsies were collected from 176 patients and H. pylori were
isolated, identified and bacterial suspension was prepared. Samples of this suspension were mixed with
various low concentrations of the test sensitizer. The mixture samples were exposed to different laser
radiation doses. The samples were then inoculated and the inhibition zones were studied and compared

In this work, Schiff base ligands L1: N, N-bis (2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde) hydrazine, L2: N, N-bis (salicylidene) hydrazine, and L3:N –salicylidene- hydrazine were synthesized by condensation reaction. The prepared ligands were reacted with specific divalent metal ions such as (Mn2+, Fe2+, Ni2+) to prepare their complexes. The ligands and complexes were characterized by C.H.N, FT-IR, UV-Vis, solubility, melting point and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The results show that the ligands of complexes (Mn2+, Fe2+) have octahedral geometry while the ligands of complexes (Ni2+) have tetrahedral geometry.

Background: Tubal ligation, recognized as a surgical intervention that ensures permanent contraception, has established itself as an option for women seeking a definitive solution for family planning. Objective: To assess the psychosexual implications of tubal ligation in a sample of women in Baghdad, Iraq. Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted in a teaching hospital for 2 years, from the first of January 2022 to the end of December 2023, in which 203 women who underwent tubal ligation were included. Hashimoto Thyroiditis (HT) is the most common autoimmune thyroid disease and the commonest cause ofhypothyroidism. C-reactive protein (CRP) is synthesized in hepatocyte in response to autoimmune disorders;strongly induced by IL-6. This study aimed to estimate serum IL-6 and CRP levels in autoimmune and non-autoimmune hypothyroidism. The present study included 60 Iraqi female hypothyroid patients divided to 30autoimmune and 30 non-autoimmune, with age ranged between 24-50 years and 30 healthy controls withage ranged between 27-52 years.
