Powders for (TiO 2 ) 1−x(MoO 3 ) x composites have been prepared with the use of a dry mix of TiO2 and MoO3 oxides with a variety of compositions (x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, and 1), then sintering at 1473 K. The materials have been ground and formed into pellets so that they could be used as targets for the pulsed laser deposition (PLD) process, which produced thin flms with a thickness of ≈150 nm on a glass substrate.
