In this study NiO - CoO bimetallic catalysts are prepared with two Ni/Co ratios (70:30 and 80: 20) using the precipitation method of nitrate salts. The effects of Ni /Co ratio and preparation methods on the catalyst are analyzed by using different characterization techniques, i.e. atomic absorption (AA) , XRD, surface area and pore volume measurements according to the BET method . The results indicate that the best catalyst is the one containing the percentage of Ni :Co ( 70 : 30 ). Experiments indicate that the optimal conditions to prepare catalyst are stirring for three hours at a temperature of 60oC of the preparation , pH= (8-9) , calcination temperature at 400oC for two hours using the impregnation method . The catalyst activity is studied through the application in the process of oxidative desulfurization of gas oil fuel . The optimal conditions for deep oxidative desulfurization processes are : catalysts 3% , 2 gm. Na2 CO3 , refluxe time 3 hours at 400 C , using a mechanical stirrer at moderate speed (700 rpm), the volume ratio of gas oil : H2O2 : acetic acid is 10: 1: 0.5 and extracted with 1:1 ratio of acetonitrile to the gas oil for three times . The results indicate that the catalysts are efficient to remove sulfur from gas oil depending on temperature, time, concentration of hydrogen peroxide H2O2 30 % and solvent used for extraction. The efficiency of the best catalyst gives a maximum sulfur removal reaching 68.97%.
The research includes the synthesis and identification of the mixed ligands complexes of M 2 Ions in general composition ,[M(Leu) 2 (SMX)] Where L leucine (C 6 H 13 NO 2 )symbolized (LeuH) as a primary ligand and Sulfamethoxazole C 10 H 11 N 3 O 3 S) symbolized (SMX)) as a secondary ligand . The ligands and the metal chlorides were brought in to reaction at room temperature in(v/v) ethanol /water as solvent containing NaOH. The reaction required the following [(metal: 2(Na Leu --): (SMX )] molar ratios with M(II) ions, Were M ( Mn ( II),Co (II),Ni(II),Cu( II),Zn (II),Cd(II)and Hg( The UV Vis and magnetic moment data revealed an octahedral geometry around M(II), The conductivity data show a non electrolytic nature of the complexes . This paper presents a methodology to assess probabilistic risk criteria of Al-Qudus plant before and after expansion; as this plant consists of ten generating units presently and the Ministry Of Electricity (MOE) is intending to compact four units to it in order to improve the performance of Iraqi power system especially at Baghdad region. The assessment is calculated by a program using Matlab programming language; version 7.6. Results show that the planned risk is (0.003095) that is (35 times) less than that in the present plant risk; (0.1091); which represents respectable imp

Show MoreMaintaining the quality of apricot fruits during storage is not an easy task due to the changes in their physical and chemical properties, so it is necessary to use less expensive, easy to apply, environmentally friendly, and safer preservatives to maintain the nutritional value of apricot. The damage to some fruits during storage can be a source of infection, which leads to the damage of healthy fruits more quickly, which requires building an intelligent model to detect damaged fruits. The aim of the research is to study the effect of immersing apricots in lemon juice once and sugar-water solution again on the quality properties of apricots, including sweetness, color, hardness, and water content. Pyrimidine derivatives were prepared after the reaction of the azomethine group with acetyl chloride and then urea and thiourea to synthesis on derivatives contain the six members ring. Another step included identified and confirmed these compounds by FT- IR, 1HNMR, TLC and 13CNMR finally, step included the assay of biological activity

Construction manager targets that equipment to be delivered in the site need date with the right quantity, appropriate cost and required quality, and this entails an efficient supplier can satisfy these targets. Selection of engineering equipment supplier is a crucial managerial process .it requires evaluation of multiple suppliers according to multiple criteria. This process is usually performed manually and based on just limited evaluation criteria, so better alternatives may be neglected. Three stages of survey comprised number of public a

A surface fitting model is developed based on calorimeter data for two famous brands of household compressors. Correlation equations of ten coefficient polynomials were found as a function of refrigerant saturating and evaporating temperatures in range of (-35℃ to -10℃) using Matlab software for cooling capacity, power consumption, and refrigerant mass flow rate.
Additional correlations equations for these variables as a quick choice selection for a proper compressor use at ASHRAE standard that cover a range of swept volume range (2.24-11.15) cm3.
The result indicated that these surface fitting models are accurate with in ± 15% for 72 compressors model of cooling cap
