This study was designed to look for certain biochemical markers(serum uric acid and serum peroxynitrite) in women presented with obesity and to compare the level of these markers with non-obese women. A total number of 63 women were recruited from outpatients and private clinics to admit in this study. The patients were grouped into non obese women (Group I) and obese women (Group II). The anthropometric and blood pressure were determined and venous blood was obtained from each patient for determination of C-reactive protein, uric acid and peroxynitrite. The results showed that there were no significant differences in age or in concomitant or associated diseases in both groups except rheumatoid arthritis which account 80% of group I and 25% of group II. The body mass index of Group I patients was 25.27±4.19 kg/h2 compared with 40.03±16.64 kg/h2 of Group II (p < 0.001). There were no significant differences in waist to hip ratio between two groups. The means systolic and diastolic blood pressures were higher in Group II compare with Group I. Positive C-reactive protein was observed in 53.3% and 52.1% of patients in Groups I and II respectively. Serum uric acid and peroxynitrite were non-significantly higher in Group II compared with Group I. It was concluded that obesity in women is associated with increased level of metabolic and nitrosative markers as well as alteration in inflammatory marker.
field of modern and contemporary Yemeni history, accomplished at Ibn Rushd College of Education, University of Baghdad. It was determined according to a time frame in the years 1989, which is the date of completion of the first master’s thesis in the field of modern and contemporary Yemeni history, which deals with the subject of “Iraqi-Yemeni relations 1932- 1962”, and the year 2020, which is the year of completion of a master’s thesis on the position of Iraqi public opinion on the Egyptian military intervention in Yemen (1962-1970). The study determined the nature of these studies, whether they were in the form of master’s theses or doctoral dissertations, or research and studies published in issues of the refereed scien

I dealt with the poetic verses represented by the lyrical introduction as a formative hypothesis, basing its goal on a methodological framework distributed on the problem that was summarized by the following question: Is it possible to look at the poetic pattern within the pre-Islamic poem / hanging blinking as a model, in its plastic dimensions and to identify the stylistic treatment that achieves the formation space within the poetic text. The study aims to build a training program based on the Connectivism Theory to develop e-learning competencies for Islamic education teachers in the Governorate of Dhofar, as well as to identify its effectiveness. The study sample consisted of (30) Islamic education teachers to implement the training program, they were randomly selected. The study used the descriptive approach to determine the electronic competencies and build the training program, and the quasi-experimental approach to determine the effectiveness of the program. The study tools were the cognitive achievement test and the observation card, which were applied before and after. The study found that the effectiveness of the training program

The emergence of mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) or nanocomposite membranes embedded with inorganic nanoparticles (NPs) has opened up a possibility for developing different polymeric membranes with improved physicochemical properties, mechanical properties and performance for resolving environmental and energy-effective water purification. This paper presents an overview of the effects of different hydrophilic nanomaterials, including mineral nanomaterials (e.g., silicon dioxide (SiO2) and zeolite), metals oxide (e.g., copper oxide (CuO), zirconium dioxide (ZrO2), zinc oxide (ZnO), antimony tin oxide (ATO), iron (III) oxide (Fe2O3) and tungsten oxide (WOX)), two-dimensional transition (e.g., MXene), metal–organic framework (MOFs), c
