Four electrodes were synthesized based on molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs). Two MIPs were prepared by using the diclofenac sodium (DFS) as the template, 2-hydroxy ethyl metha acrylate(2-HEMA) and 2-vinyl pyridine(2-VP) as monomers as well as divinyl benzene and benzoyl peroxide as cross linker and initiator respectively. The same composition used for prepared non-imprinted polymers (NIPs) but without the template (diclofenac sodium). To prepared the membranes electrodes used different plasticizers in PVC matrix such as: tris(2-ethyl hexyl) phosphate (TEHP), tri butyl phosphate (TBP), bis(2-ethyl hexyl) adipate (BEHA) and tritolyl phosphate (TTP). The characteristics studied the slop, detection limit, life time and linearity range of DFS–MIPs electrodes. The results were obtained from selectivity measurements on amino acids showed good response as well as pharmaceuticals analysis.
A successful synthesis of mesoporous Santa Barbara amorphous (SBA-15) with nanoparticle size was attempted using prepared sodium silicate from Iraqi high silica sand. EO20PO70EO20 copolymer was used as a template at highly acidic conditions (pH < 2). The effect of crystallization temperature of (100, 110, 120, and 130 0C), and crystallization time of (24, 48, 72, and 120 h) on surface properties was studied. The experiments were characterized using XRD, FTIR, AFM, BET, and FESEM. The XRD and FTIR tests represent amorphous SBA-15 without any impurities. Decreasing average particle size distribution increased the surface area, and decreased the porosity (pore volume, and pore size) in all experiments. The texture properties were su

Show MoreIn current article an easy and selective method is proposed for spectrophotometric estimation of metoclopramide (MCP) in pharmaceutical preparations using cloud point extraction (CPE) procedure. The method involved reaction between MCP with 1-Naphthol in alkali conditions using Triton X-114 to form a stable dark purple dye. The Beer’s law limit in the range 0.34-9 μg mL-1 of MCP with r =0.9959 (n=3) after optimization. The relative standard deviation (RSD) and percentage recoveries were 0.89 %, and (96.99–104.11%) respectively. As well, using surfactant cloud point extraction as a method to extract MCP was reinforced the extinction coefficient(ε) to 1.7333×105L/mol.cm in surfactant-rich phase. The small volume of organi

Show MoreNew metal complexes of some transition metal ions Co(II), Cu(II) , Cd(II) and Zn(II) were prepared by their reaction with previously prepared ligands HLI= (P-methyl anilino) phenyl acetonitrile and HLII = (P-methyl anilino) –P– chloro phenyl acetonitrile . The two ligands were prepared by Strecker’s procedure which includ the reaction of p- toluidine with benzaldehyde and P- chlorobenzaldehyde respectively. Structures were proposed depending on atomic absorption , i.r. and u.v.visible spectra in addition to magnetic susceptibility and electrical conductivity measurements.
The article presents the synthesis and liquid crystalline properties of some of new bent and linear core compounds containing a 1,3,4-oxadiazole, piperazine and thiazolidin-4-one rings as a central core. The new synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analysis and FTIR, ¹HNMR and mass spectroscopy). The liquid crystalline properties were studied by polarized optical microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. All Schiff bases compounds with 1,3,4-oxadiazole and piprzaine ring in central core presented liquid crystalline properties. The liquid crystallinity of compounds containing 1,3,4-oxadiazole and thiazolidin-4-one rings as a central core were found depending on the type of terminal substituents.
Six membered heterocyclic derivatives (dihydroquinazoline-4-one and 1,3-benzothiazine-4-one (6–15)) were synthesized by cyclization reaction of Schiff bases (1–5) with anthranilic acid and o-mercaptobenzoic acid in oily bath. Prepared compounds was characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectroscopy and elemental analysis to confirm structure of synthesized derivatives. Heterocyclic compounds are of interest for scientific research due to important antioxidant properties; Compounds 10, 12, and 15 appeared good results by scavenging free radicals. Investigation of microbial activity to synthesized compounds 6–15 showed that compounds 6, 10, and 11 demonstrate the highest inhibition zone.
A new series of schiff base and aminothiadiazole derivatives of N- substituted phthalimide (I-VI) were synthesized. In this work, the intermediate 4-(1,3-dioxoisoindolin-2-yl)benzaldehyde compound (I), was formed by reaction of 4-amino benzaldehyde with phthalic anhydride in glacial acetic acid(GAA). A series of Schiff bases (IV-VI) was prepared by the reaction of benzidine with compound (I) in ethanol and presence of GAA as a catalyst to form compound (IV) which react with compound (I) and p-nitro benzyldehyde to give compound (V) and (VI) respectively. A new phthalimide thiosemi-carbazone derivative (ll) was prepared by reaction of compound (l) with thiosemi-carbazide HCl in the presence of equimolar amount of sodium acetate. Fina

The [2-aminobenzothiazole]was reacted with [2,4,6 triyhydroxy-acetophenon monohydrate] to give a new ligand [2-N-2,4,6-trihydroxyacetophenonyliden benzothiazole] [H3L]. This ligand was reacted with metal ions ( CoII, NiII,CuII and ZnII) in methanol as solvent with ( 1:2 ) metal : ligand ratio to give a series of new complexes with general formula [ M(H2L)2],(where:M= CoII, NiII ,CuIIand, ZnII).All compounds were characterized by spectroscopic methods ( I.R , U.V – vis,HPLC) atomic absorption, along with chloride content and conductivity measurements. Reservoir characterization is an important component of hydrocarbon exploration and production, which requires the integration of different disciplines for accurate subsurface modeling. This comprehensive research paper delves into the complex interplay of rock materials, rock formation techniques, and geological modeling techniques for improving reservoir quality. The research plays an important role dominated by petrophysical factors such as porosity, shale volume, water content, and permeability—as important indicators of reservoir properties, fluid behavior, and hydrocarbon potential. It examines various rock cataloging techniques, focusing on rock aggregation techniques and self-organizing maps (SOMs) to identify specific and

The model uses the thermophysical properties such as Viscosity, thermal conductivity, Specific heat and density of polypropylene 575 that measured as a function of temperature, and residence time data for process simulation. The numerical simulation using CFD models for single screw extruder and the polymer extrusion was analysed for parameters such as (thermal conductivity, specific heat, density and viscosity) reveals a high degree of similarity to experimental data measured.
