The objective of this study is to determination the content of some heavy metals (lead, cadmium, chromium) in colored tattoo stickers. twelve kinds of colored tattoo stikcers were collected from Baghdad markets, it was estimated heavy metals using atomic absorption spectrophotometer (Shimadzu A5000). According to the prevalence of multidrug resistance bacteria, especially Pseudomonas aeruginosa, in which the essential mechanism of drug resistance is the ability to possess an efflux pump by which extrusion of antimicrobial agents usually occurs, this study aims to detect the presence of mexB multidrug efflux gene in some local isolates of this bacteria that show resistance towards three antibiotics, out of five. This study was performd on 50 urine specimens of patients with type 2 diabetes, in addition, 50 normal specimens were investigated as control group. The activity rate of maltase in patients (6.40±2.17) I.U/ml and activity rate of maltase in normal (0.44±0.20)I.U/ml. The results of the study reveal that maltase activity of type 2 diabetes patient's urine shows significant increase (P<0.01) compare to normal.
