The rise of edge-cloud continuum computing is a result of the growing significance of edge computing, which has become a complementary or substitute option for traditional cloud services. The convergence of networking and computers presents a notable challenge due to their distinct historical development. Task scheduling is a major challenge in the context of edge-cloud continuum computing. The selection of the execution location of tasks, is crucial in meeting the quality-of-service (QoS) requirements of applications. An efficient scheduling strategy for distributing workloads among virtual machines in the edge-cloud continuum data center is mandatory to ensure the fulfilment of QoS requirements for both customer and service provider. Existing research used metaheuristic algorithm to solve tak scheduling problem, however, must of the existing metaheuristics used suffers from falling into local mina due to their inefficiency to avoid unfeasible region in the solution search space. Therefore, there is a dire need for an efficient metaheuristic algorithm for task scheduling. This study proposed an FPA-ISFLA task scheduling model using hybrid flower pollination and improved shuffled frog leaping algorithms. The simulation results indicate that the FPA-ISFLA algorithm is superior to the PSO algorithm in terms of makespan time, resource utilization, and execution cost reduction, especially with an increasing number of tasks.
The study aims to examine the problem of forced displacement and its social and economic problems in light of the Syrian crisis. Such an aim helps to know the difficulties and challenges facing the children of displaced families in learning, and the reasons for their lack of enrolment. It also clarifies whether there are significant statistical differences at among the attitudes of the children of the displaced families towards education regarding the following variables: (the work of the head of the family, the economic level of the family, and the work of the children). The study has adopted the descriptive-analytical approach; a questionnaire was adopted as a tool to collect information. The study was applied to a sample o

Show MoreSelf-criticism is that a person confronts himself with his mistakes in order to reform and develop them for the better, motivate them and inspire hope in them to push them forward and continue to give in this life. The Holy Qur’an teaches us, through the models it cited in its verses, that this is through repentance, a feeling of remorse, and a determination to leave mistakes, and quit disobedience and sins, etc., and all this is done through constructive criticism, and at the same time, one must realize his strengths. , in order to succeed in preserving it and employing it in the right path that pleases God, His Messenger, himself and his society. This has been explained through an introduction, two topics and a conclusion, and God is t

This study aimed to know the impact of the capital structure measured by the ratio of financing to short-term capital and the ratio of financing to long-term capital on the profitability of companies, as measured by the rate of return on assets and the rate of return on equity. The study was applied to industrial sector companies listed in the Iraq Stock Exchange. The financial number of (14) companies, and (4) companies were selected that met the conditions for selecting the study sample. The study methodology relies on the analytical method as it is more appropriate to the nature, scope and objectives of the study, and the ready-made statistical program "SPSS" will be used to analyze the relationships and influence between the
