The Effects of Aloe vera Gel, Sesame Oil and Camphor Oil on Pseudomonas aeruginosa Isolated from Burnt Patients
...Show More Authors

Three isolates of  P. aeruginosa were isolated from burnt patients. The ability of these isolates for adhesion and formation of slime layer were tested, the result showed that all isolates were able to adherence on the smooth surface. The sensitivity of  P. aeruginosa isolates for antibiotics were tested , all isolates were sensitive  to Gentamycin, Piperacillin and Amikacin Ciprofloxacin, and  resist to Tetracyclin, Amoxicillin, Cephalexine , Ceftriaxone. Ciprofloxacin and Amikacin were found effective against P. aeruginosa isolates with MIC values of 3.8 μg/ ml for  Ciprofloxacin  and 0.244 μg/ ml for Amikacin The antibacterial effect of Different concentrations of Aloe vera gel, Sesame Oil and Camphor Oil against P. aeruginosa were determined, Camphor was highly effective with Concentration inhibit bacteria value of 10% followed by Sesame Oil (20%) and Aloe vera gel (>75%). The combinations of Aloe vera gel, Sesame Oil and Camphor Oil and antibiotics (Ciprofloxacin and Amikacin ) showed that the efficacy of  the two antibiotics (Ciprofloxacin and Amikacin ) against P.aeroginosa isolates was improved in the presence of Aloe vera gel, Sesame Oil and Camphor Oil.

Key words : Aloe vera gel, Sesame Oil , Camphor Oil , Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

ANNUAL CYCLE IN LIVER WEIGHT OF MARSH FROG RANA RIDIBUNDA PALLAS, 1771
...Show More Authors

The dry weight of the liver of Rana ridibunda was expressed as percentage of the dry
weight of the body. The female liver weight always exceeds that of the male, except in July
and September. The difference between males and females for the whole year, regardless of
months, was not significant. Livers of both sexes were relatively large prior to hibernation
(December), decreased during hibernation (January and February) until a minimum weight in
March (post-hibernation).
The increase of liver weight during December is apparently simply to meet the metabolic
requirements for survival during hibernation. The percent reduction in liver weight during
hibernation was 1.081% in males and 1.356% in females. The decrease

Reflection of marketing deception in organizational reputation / applied research in Baghdad pharmacies
...Show More Authors

The research aims to provide an integrated knowledge framework for the two basic research topics of (marketing deception, organizational reputation), their main dimensions, and framing the knowledge within them in a serious attempt to provide appropriate answers to the questions of the research problem by diagnosing the nature of the relationship between the components of marketing deception to identify the elements and how to activate it via reputable organizational components. The research was based on the analytical survey method. The research sample targeted (364) pharmacies within the capital Baghdad exclusively, the main tool of the research was the questionnaire, as well as the design of models prepared fo

Preparation of Nanoparticles in an Eco- friendly Method using Thyme Leaf Extracts
...Show More Authors

Colloidal silver nanoparticles were prepared by single step green synthesis using aqueous extracts of the leaves of thyme as a function of different molar concentration of AgNO3 (1,2,3,4 mM(. The Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), UV-Visible and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were used to characterize the resultant AgNPs. The surface Plasmon resonance was observed at wavelength of 444 nm. The four intensive peaks of XRD pattern indicate the crystalline nature and the face centered cubic structure of the AgNPs. The average crystallite size of the AgNPs ranged from 18 to 22 nm. The FESEM image illustrated the well dispersion of the AgNPs and the spherical shape of the nanoparticles with a particle size distribution be

Flexural Behavior of Reinforced Rubberized Reactive Powder Concrete Beams under Repeated Loads
...Show More Authors

Non-biodegradability of rubber tires contributes to pollution and fire hazards in the natural environment. In this study, the flexural behavior of the Rubberized Reactive Powder Concrete (RRPC) beams that contained various proportions and sizes of scrap tire rubber was investigated and compared to the flexural behavior of the regular RPC. Fresh properties, hardened properties, load-deflection relation, first crack load, ultimate load, and crack width are studied and analyzed. Mixes were made using micro steel fiber of the straight type, and they had an aspect ratio of 65. Thirteen beams were tested under two loading points (Repeated loading) with small-scale beams (1100 mm, 150 mm, 100 mm) size.

The fine aggregate

Combining Electro Fenton With Adsorption Processes for Treatment of Petroleum Refinery Wastewater
...Show More Authors
ABSTRACT<p> This study investigates the elimination of chemical oxygen demand (COD) from an Iraqi petroleum refinery effluent through a combined electro‐Fenton and adsorption process (EF+AC). Response surface methodology (RSM) with a Box–Behnken design (BBD) was employed to investigate the effects of FeSO 4 concentration, current density, and electrolysis time on the reduction of COD using the EF technique. According to the results of the analysis of variance (ANOVA) for the EF technique, FeSO 4 concentrations, with a contribution of 40.06%, and cur</p> ... Show More

A traditional model of translation: Critical analysis: Традиционные модели перевода: критический анализ
...Show More Authors

The article critically analyzes traditional translation models. The most influential models of translation in the second half of the 20th century have been mentioned, among which the theory of formal and dynamic equivalence, the theory of regular correspondences, informative, situational-denotative, functional-pragmatic theory of communication levels have been considered. The selected models have been analyzed from the point of view of the universality of their use for different types and types of translation, as well as the ability to comprehend the deep links established between the original and the translation.

Application of simulated annealing to solve multi-objectives for aggregate production planning
...Show More Authors

Aggregate production planning (APP) is one of the most significant and complicated problems in production planning and aim to set overall production levels for each product category to meet fluctuating or uncertain demand in future. and to set decision concerning hiring, firing, overtime, subcontract, carrying inventory level. In this paper, we present a simulated annealing (SA) for multi-objective linear programming to solve APP. SA is considered to be a good tool for imprecise optimization problems. The proposed model minimizes total production and workforce costs. In this study, the proposed SA is compared with particle swarm optimization (PSO). The results show that the proposed SA is effective in reducing total production costs and req
