The adsorption behavior of congo red dye from its aqueous solutions was investigated onto natural and modified bauxite clays. Both bauxite and modified bauxite are primarily characterized by using, FTIR, SEM, AFM, and XRD. Several variables are studied as a function of adsorption including contact time, adsorbent weight, pH, ionic strength, particle size and temperature under batch adsorption technique. The absorbance of the solution before and after adsorption was measured spectrophotometrically. In this research, porous silicon (PS) prepared by anodization etching on surface of single crystalline p-type Si wafer, then Gold nanoparticle (AuNPs) prepared by pulsed laser ablation in liquid. NPs deposited on PS layer by drop casting. The morphology of PS, AuNPs and AuNPs/PS samples were examined by AFM. The crystallization of this sample was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The electrical properties and sensitivity to CO2 gas were investigated to Al/AuNPs/PS/c-Si/Al, we found that AuNPs plays crucial role to enhance this properties.

The present work aims to improve the flux of forward osmosis with the use of Thin Film Composite membrane by reducing the effect of polarization on draw solution (brine solution) side.This study was conducted in two parts. The first is under the effect of polarization in which the flux and the water permeability coefficient (A) were calculated.
