The intestinal mucositis define as inflammation and ulceration in the gastrointestinal tract wall and in some case in the oral cavity these cause by treatment with antineoplastic drug like 5-fluorouracil and Irinotecan and other types of chemotherapeutics drugs , 5-Fluorouracil-induced intestinal mucositis (IM) is consider as one of the more common tumor issue .it cause series of undesirables symptoms like severe diarrhea ,abdominal pain , stomach uncomfortable and other. The aim of this current study to see how ellagic acid act to Attenuates 5-FU-Induced Intestinal Mucositis and Diarrhea in Mice . we induced the intestinal mucositis by injected the mice intraperitoneally in 5-fluorouracil about 50mg per kg daily for four days respectively and then assessment the IM by measurement the level of some antioxidant enzymes like SOD , and level of some pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-6) and lipid peroxidation biomarker (MDA) and we note the difference in the histopathological scoring after administration the ellagic acid to the mice in two different dose (10mg and 5mg per kg) daily for ten days respectively and before the fluorouracil injection in one hour .pretreatment with ellagic acid specialized dose of 10mg per kg significant improvement in the level of antioxidant enzymes ,pro inflammatory cytokines ,lipid peroxidation biomarker and histopathologicaL score compared with 5-FU group, moreover the potential action of ellagic acid was further supported by histopathological examination. all these data suggest that the ellagic acid effective in protective from 5-FU-induced intestinal mucositis.
Abstract Objective: The study aimed to assess the factors contributes of patient with bladder cancer and to find out the relationship between the factors of bladder cancer with certain variable. Methodology: A descriptive study to assessment of factors that contribute to bladder cancer that was carried out Al-Karama teaching hospital, Al-Kendy teaching hospital, Specialty Surgery teaching hospital and Al-Yarmok teaching hospital for the period of November 2003 to August 2004. A purposive (non-probability) sample of (100) patients with bladder cancer. An assessment from was constructed for the purpose of the st
The immune infertility caused by anti-sperm antibodies (ASAs) represented about 10–20% of infertility among the couples. The ASAs interfere with sperm parameters such as sperm motility and sperm ability to penetrate cervical mucus, sperm-oocyte binding, and fertilization and embryo development. Objectives: The present study designed to assess semen analysis, presence of ASAs and DNA fragmentation index as well as correlation within these parameters in normzoospermic Iraqi subjects Patients, Materials, and Methods: A total number of Iraqi subjects (116) with range of age (20-51) years and their mean duration of infertility (4.70 ± 2.77). Seminal fluid for macroscopic and microscopic assessments done according to WHO 2010 criteria. The

The purpose of the current study was to create a calcium phosphate (CaP) etching paste in a simplified capsule formula that can underpin clinically adequate bracket bond strength without jeopardizing the integrity of enamel upon the debracketing procedure. Materials and Methods: micro-sized hydroxyapatite (HA) powder was mixed with 40% PA solution to prepare experimental acidic CaP paste. Sixty human premolars were assigned into two groups of 30 each. Enamel conditioning was accomplished using 37% PA-gel for control group and CaP paste for e

Human Adenosine deaminase is an essential enzyme for modulating the bioactivity of thyroid hormones, and It is important for the maturation and differentiation of lymphocytes, although its clinical importance in thyroid diseases have yet to be identified. Objective: The aim of the current study is to determine the Adenosine deaminase concentration in healthy controls, and in autoimmune thyroid diseases such as Graves' Disease, and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. Patients and methods: A total of 183 serum specimens of 103 female patients with autoimmune thyroid diseases and 80 healthy control groups were included in this study and collected from the Baghdad Medical City, Iraq.
