Consequences of Anabolic Androgenic Steroids Abuse in Males, Sexual Hepatic and Metabolic Perspective
...Show More Authors

Abstract

Background: anabolic androgenic steroids (AASs) are becoming increasingly popular between bodybuilders and people who want to enhance their physiques. However, according to the rise of the Internet and laws prohibiting sales of these substances without prescription, the route of obtaining and administration practices have become more and more dangerous.

Objective: Anabolic-androgenic steroids represents a group of synthetic testosterone derivatives its play an important role in clinical treatment. These group of drugs are widely abused among the general public to increase lean body weight and improve athletic performance. It has been reported that AAS use can cause many adverse effects. Although there are many related studies, the current study was to review the effect of AAS on serum levels of LH, FSH, prolactin, free testosterone, ALT, AST, T3, T4, TSH, haemoglobin and platelet in bodybuilders using these hormones and compare the results with control group.

Method: A 50 body builders were using gym routinely and were using AASs for at least 2 months interviewed and collect blood sample to measure certain lab data and see the effects of AAS on these lab data and compare results with control group who were using gym routinely but never use AAS before.

Results: The levels of eight parameters were significantly (P-value< 0.05) different according to the participating groups (AAS users vs control): LH, FSH, Prolactin, ALT, T3, TSH, haemoglobin and platelets. Five of the measured parameters were significantly (P-value< 0.05) lower in the group of AAS users compared to the control (non-user) group: LH, FSH, T3, TSH, and platelets. In contrast, the other three parameters (prolactin, ALT and haemoglobin) were significantly (P-value< 0.05) higher in the AAS user group compared to control group.

Conclusion:  the anabolic androgenic steroids had a harmful effect on multi physiological functions leading to hormonal disturbances.

Study and Investigation of Hard Photons Emission in Heavy Ion Collisions
...Show More Authors

This work involves hard photon rate production from quark -gluon plasma QGP interaction in heavy ion collision. Using a quantum chromodynamic model to investigate and calculation of photons rate in 𝑐𝑔 → 𝑠𝑔𝛾 system due to strength coupling, photons rate, temperature of system, flavor number and critical. The photons rate production computed using the perturbative strength models for QGP interactions. The strength coupling was function of temperature of system, flavor number and critical temperature. Its influenced by force with temperature of system, its increased with decreased the temperature and vice versa. The strength coupling has used to examine the confinement and deconfinement of quarks in QGP properties and inf

This study was design to characterize the immune response in experimentally Pseudomonas aeruginosa mastitis mice treated probiotic bifidocin and cazacin of Bifidobacterium spp. and Lactobacillus casei. We quantified the level of the IFN-γ and TNF-α cytokines in blood by ELISA technique. IFN-γ level was significantly higher in infected group compared to control (340.21 ± 41.61, 8.45 ± 0.83 pg/ml, respectively). While the level of IFN-γ was significantly higher in mastitis mice than bifidocin and cazacin treated mice. Also, TNF-α level showed a significant increase in mastitis mice compared to controls (320.11±40.33, 8.45±0.83pg/ml, respectively). Among mastitis and bifidocin (9 and 18 mg/ml), cazacin (11 and 22 mg/ml) treate

The importance of quality standards in fabric designs and women's fashion
...Show More Authors

The rapid breakthrough achieved by technological progress in the field of designing and implementing women's fashion has resulted in the emergence of the need for quality control and control to improve the completed visual image of fashion as an aesthetic and functional product and not clothed in its abstract qualities.
The quality in women’s fashion and the importance of showing the design and conveying the design message to the recipient depends on the level of its implementation, starting from the selection of textile fibers and determining their appropriate characteristics for the functional purpose and design prepared by the designer and ending with the final operations of the costume. This calls for spreading awareness and c

Objective: Knee osteoarthritis is a common disabling chronic disease globally. Many pharmacological agents have been used efficiently in treatment of knee osteoarthritis. This study aims to evaluate metformin and serratiopeptidase together in treatment and stop of osteoarthritis progression by different mechanisms. Methods: Present study was a randomized clinical trial study conducted in Al-Kindi teaching hospital through the period from 1st January to 30th of May, 2017 on two groups of 80 osteoarthritis patients (group I; treated with metformin 850 mg oral tablets) and (group II; treated with metformin 850 mg oral tablets and serratiopeptidase 20 mg oral tablets). Parameters of two groups were compared with those of 40 normal healt

Morphological, Molecular and Pollen Grain Investigations of Salix Species in Egypt
...Show More Authors

Genus Salix is among family Salicaceae, distributing in the northern hemisphere. It is represented in Egypt by two species (Salix mucronata and Salix tetrasperma). The classification of Salix at the generic and infra-generic levels is still outstanding. We have agreed to list the Egyptian species of this genus. We collected them during field trips to most Egyptian habitats; fresh and herbarium specimens were subjected to taxonomic revision based on morphological characters; scanning electron microscope (SEM) for pollen grains; isozyme analysis using esterase and peroxidase enzymes and genetic diversity using random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD). We recorded that both sexes of S.

Assessing EFL Learners Ability in the Recognition And Production of Homophones

This study deals with the orthographic processing ability of homophones
which can account for variance in word recognition and production skills due to
phonological processing. The study aims at: A)Investigating whether the students
can recognize correct usage and spelling comprehension of different homophones
by using appropriate word that overlapped in both phonology and orthography.
B)Assessing spelling production word association to the written form of the
homophone in the sentence comprehension task. To achieve these aims, two tests
have been conducted and distributed on 50 students at first stage at the College of
Education(Ibn-Rushd) for the academic year 2010-2011. The two tests are exposed
