A survey of chrysidid wasps and an identification key to the genera from different localities in Iraq are provided. The genus Pseudomalus Ashmead, 1902 with Pseudomalus auratus (Linnaeus) and Omalus timidus (Nurse), are new records from Iraq. As well, a preliminary checklist of Iraq’s Chrysididae is suggested. Twenty species within nine genera in two subfamilies have been included in the current list. Historical information is provided together with remarks on the current taxonomic status and the particular validity for some species.

In recent decades, breeding deer populations in Iraq have expanded significantly in size and distribution. Owing to their role in pathogen transmission, these deer populations pose a risk to the livestock industry. However, little is known about the parasitic infection status of the breeding deer and the surrounding environment in Iraq. Atotal of 150 deer faecal samples were collected from male and female deer of various ages from four regions of Iraq and examined microscopically for intestinal parasites. The esophageal morphology of domestic fowl (Gallus gallus domesticus) was investigated to fillthe dearth of information on the morphology of esophagus from available literature and help inunderstanding its digestive tract biology. The esophagus is under study as musculomembranous tubularshape, it began from oropharyngeal cavity and terminated on the proventriculus. The esophagus wasdivided into three regions are represented by cervical part, crop, and Thoracic part. Internal lining of theesophagus consisted of un-branched straight longitudinal folds The length of the cervical part, crop andthoracic part were 11.5 cm, 3.5 cm, 6 cm respectively.

The alluvial fan of Mandali located between latitude 30˚45’00” N longitude 45˚30’00” E in east of Diyala Governorate, Iraq. Thirty-five wells were identified in the study area with average depth of 84 m and estimated area of 21550 ha. A three-dimensional conceptual model was prepared by using GMS program. From wells cross sections, four geological layers have been identified. The hydraulic conductivity of these layers was calculated for steady state condition, where the water levels for nine wells distributed over the study area were observed at same time.
