Reservoir permeability plays a crucial role in characterizing reservoirs and predicting the present and future production of hydrocarbon reservoirs. Data logging is a good tool for assessing the entire oil well section's continuous permeability curve. Nuclear magnetic resonance logging measurements are minimally influenced by lithology and offer significant benefits in interpreting permeability. The Schlumberger-Doll-Research model utilizes nuclear magnetic resonance logging, which accurately estimates permeability values. The approach of this investigation is to apply artificial neural networks and core data to predict permeability in wells without a nuclear magnetic resonance log. The Schlumberger-Doll-Research permeability is used to train the model, where the model prediction result is validated with core permeability. Seven oil well logs were used as input parameters, and the model was constructed with Techlog software. The predicted permeability with the model compared with Schlumberger-Doll-Research permeability as a cross plot, which results in the correlation coefficient of 94%, while the predicted permeability validated with the core permeability of the well, which obtains good agreement where R2 equals 80%. The model was utilized to forecast permeability in a well that did not have a nuclear magnetic resonance log, and the predicted permeability was cross-plotted against core permeability as a validation step, with a correlation coefficient of 77%. As a result, the low percentage of matching was due to data limitations, which demonstrated that as the amount of data used to train the model increased, so did the precision.
The reason for conducting this study is to prolong release of miconazole in the ocular site of action by ocular-based gels (OBGs) formulations. The formulation factors affecting on the release from OBG should be studied using various gelling agents in various concentrations to achieve the improvement in retention and residence time in response to prolonged release. In this study, the formulations were prepared using carbopol 940, pectin, sodium alginate, poloxamer 407, and poly(methacrylic acid) at 0.5%, 1%, and 1.5% w/v, respectively. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose E5 (HPMC E5) 1% was added as thickening agent/viscosity builder. The formulation containing carbopol 940, pectin and sodium alginate at 1.5% w/v, displayed a noticable im

The bentonite was modified using hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (HTAB), which turned it from a hydrophilic to a hydrophobic material. The effects of different parameters were studied in batch experiments. These parameters were contact time, solution pH, agitation speed, initial concentration (C0) of the contaminant, and adsorbent dosage. Maximum removal of amoxicillin (93 %) was achieved at contact time = 240 min, pH = 10, agitation speed = 200 rpm, initial concentration = 30 ppm, and adsorbent dosage = 3 g bentonite per 1L of pollutant solution. The characterization of the adsorbent, modi

The Eichhornia activated carbon was characterized by Brunauer Emmett Teller (BET), Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) techniques. Whereas, the effect of adsorbent dosage, contact time of pH, and metal ion concentration on the adsorption process have been investigated using the batch process t
Rare earth metal oxides (REMOs) have gained considerable attention in recent years owing to their distinctive properties and potential applications in electronic devices and catalysts. Particularly, cerium dioxide (CeO2), also known as ceria, has emerged as an interesting material in a wide variety of industrial, technological, and medical applications. Ceria can be synthesized with various morphologies, including rods, cubes, wires, tubes, and spheres. This comprehensive review offers valuable perceptions into the crystal structure, fundamental properties, and reaction mechanisms that govern the well-established surface-assisted reactions over ceria. The activity, selectivity, and stability of ceria, either as a stand-alone catalyst or as

Batch sorption experiments were performed as a function of pH, sorbent dose, and contact time. The optimal pH value of Copper (II) removal by banana peel was 6. The amount of sorbed metal ions was calculated as 52.632 mg/g. Sorption kinetic data were tested using pseudo-first order, and pseudo-second order models. Kinetic studies showed that the sorption followed a pseudo second order reaction due to the high correlation coefficient and the agreement between the experimental and calculated values of qe. Thermodynamic parameters such as enthalpy change (ΔH
