...Show More Authors

The research aims to identify the availability of some basic competencies that are required to be available to workers in digital agricultural Extension from the point of view of senior management, middle management, and, employees with Post-graduate education degrees, represented by the following: Transition to digital agricultural Extension for sustainable and smart family farms, benefiting from international expertise and experiences in applying for Digital agricultural Extension, preparing and implementing Extension messages through platforms, factors affecting the effectiveness of digital agricultural Extension and its platforms, following up and evaluating the activities and programs of the digital Extension platform. The research population included agricultural Extension workers in senior management, middle management, and employees with Post-graduate education degrees in some of the governorates of the central region of Iraq, namely Baghdad, Holy Karbala, and Babel. A random sample was taken from the Post-graduate. The senior management, reached 46 respondents by 35%%, and 16 respondents, while the entire population was taken for senior management, which numbered 2, and the middle management, which numbered 41, and thus the sample subject to research became 59 respondents. A questionnaire was used to collect data from the respondents, consisting of 48 items, distributed over five areas: the transition to digital agricultural Extension for sustainable and smart family farms, benefiting from international expertise and experiences in the application of digital agricultural Extension, preparing and implementing Extension messages across platforms, factors Influencing the effectiveness of digital agricultural Extension and its media, following up and evaluating the activities and programs of the digital Extension platform at 11, 9, 10, 7, and 11 items, respectively, according to a quintuple scale, and the weighted mean, the weighted percentage, was used. The research concluded that there is a discrepancy in the respondents’ answers in the paragraphs of the five domains about the availability of some basic competencies among workers in digital agricultural Extension, which range from important to very important according to the scale of the importance level of quintiles, the highest value of which is 4 degrees and the lowest is zero, with a weighted average of the total for the five mentioned domains 3.25, 3.42 , 3.42, 3.42, 3.33 degrees and respectively The researcher recommends the necessity and importance of building human capital through the consolidation of these competencies through the continuous development and training of workers in digital Extension

The Psychometric Properties of the Arabic Version of Nomophobia Scale among Omani Youth
...Show More Authors

The current research aimed to investigate the psychometric characteristics of the Arabic version of the Nomophobia scale for the Omani youth. The scale was administered to a random sample of students from public and private universities and colleges in Oman. The research sample consisted of 2507 students, of whom 868 males and 1639 females. The validity of the measure was first checked by presenting the scale to a group of experts in this field. Then the exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis was carried out. The exploratory factor analysis revealed the existence of three main factors: the fear of connectivity loss, the fear of communication loss with others, and the fear of network outages. These factors accounted for 65.6% of the

Expression of virulence and antimicrobial resistance genes among Escherichia coli clinical isolates from blood and stool samples
...Show More Authors
Objective:

As major nosocomial pathogens, Escherichia coli isolates exhibit antibiotic resistance and also express adhesive structures and antibiotic resistance genes. The objective of this study was the comparison of virulence gene expression of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing E. coli between blood and stool samples.

Methods:

In this study, 20 E. coli clinical isolates (10 ESBL-producers including 5 from blood, 5 from stool sample

Occurrence and pattern of antibiotic resistance among dental plaque bacteria from gingivitis patients and their clinical correlation
...Show More Authors

Background: A diverse group of bacteria live in biofilms in the oral cavity. On dental surfaces biofilms form plaque that is potentially involved in caries and periodontal diseases. Periodic studying of plaque microflora and their antimicrobial sensitivity patterns strongly affects the clinical practice in plaque-induced oral diseases. Materials and methods: Dental plaque samples were collected from 22 patients having ages ranged between 33 and 49 years with gingivitis that met the study criteria. Plaque, gingival and gingival bleeding indices (PI, GI, GBI) were measured for each patient. Laboratory procedures included microbiological examination of plaque samples followed by antibiotic sensitivity testing using disc diffusion method were

Spectrophotometric Analysis of Vancomycin Hydrochloride in Pure and Pharmaceutical Injections via Batch and Cloud Point Extraction Techniques
...Show More Authors

Development of a precise and delicate reaction has been acquired for the determination of vancomycin hydrochloride using batch and cloud point extraction (CPE) methods. The first method is based on the formation of azo dye as a result of diazotized dapsone coupled with vancomycin HCl (VAN) in a basic medium. The sensitivity of this reaction was enhanced by utilizing a nonionic surfactant (Triton X-114) and the cloud point extraction technique (second method). The azo dye formed was extracted into the surfactant-rich phase, dissolved in ethanol and detected at λmax 440 nm spectrophotometrically. The reaction was investigated using both batch and CPE methods (with and without extraction), and a simple comparison between the two
