The waste sorting and recycling plant in the district of al- Mahmudiya (Yusufiya) is the only laboratory in Baghdad governorate. It is the only one in Iraq that collects and recycles waste. After sorting, we have packages of raw materials (aluminum cans, glass bottles, plastic bottles, Nylon bags) as well as natural fertilizers (food residues and others) and a sanitary landfill with specifications that meet international standards; However, the absence of a structure for the management of the plant (manager, assistant manager, accountant, etc.) in addition to the non-supply of waste on a daily and continuous basis and the lack of cooperation of the Municipality of Baghdad with the management of the plant led to delay in the work

This research considers the preservation of environment through recycling old toys. This is achieved by transforming the old toys into educational clothing accessories for kindergarten stages. The research methodology adapts both descriptive and applied approaches. The research questionnaire targeted a sample of 35 teachers to collect information about the waste toys in kindergarten. The study dealt with real samples collected from local factory for dairy products in Baghdad. The Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was used to optimize five experimental variables at six levels for each variable, for estimating chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal efficiency. Possible interference of this supplementation with selected aminoglycoside antiboiotics, namely gentamycin and streptomycin was evaluated in vitro. In minimal medium, E.coli was inhibited by gentamycin and by streptomycin. Circumvention of this inhibition was obtained with a mixture of 20 amino acids in the medium.
