In this research, damping properties for composite materials were evaluated using logarithmic decrement method to study the effect of reinforcements on the damping ratio of the epoxy matrix. Three stages of composites were prepared in this research. The first stage included preparing binary blends of epoxy (EP) and different weight percentages of polysulfide rubber (PSR) (0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5% and 10%). It was found that the weight percentage 5% of polysulfide was the best percentage, which gives the best mechanical properties for the blend matrix. The advantage of this blend matrix is that; it mediates between the brittle properties of epoxy and the flexible properties of a blend matrix with the highest percentage of PSR. The second stage included reinforcing the best blend matrix of epoxy-polysulfide (the blend matrix with the best percentage of polysulfide resulted from the previous stage), by different volume percentages of short fibers (Carbon& Glass) separately and randomly. The volume percentages of fibers were (2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, and 10%). The third stage included reinforcing the blend composites with highest percentages of carbon and glass fiber, by different weight percentages of nano-particles (Red mud& Fly ash) separately. The weight percentages of particles were (0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2%). The experimental results showed that blending polysulfide rubber with epoxy increased the damping ratio. As for reinforcement materials, they decreased the damping ratio, where glass fiber composites have significantly higher damping ratio than other composites.
The present study aimed to examine the concordance between FISH/CISH techniques for assessment of amplification of her2neu gene in Iraqi breast carcinoma patients. Seventy four (74) Iraqi breast cancer patients were involved at the study from the Histopathology Department at the Central Public Health Laboratory in Bagdad, Iraq. Amplification of HER2neu was detected in (33.8%) by fluorescence in situ hybridization and (13.51%) showed high amplification by chromogenic in situ hybridization and (32.43%) showed low amplification. The results of chromogenic in situ hybridization were significantly correlated with the results of two-color fluorescence in situ hybridization with the same tumors. In addition, the study involved the correlation betw

Show MoreThe current study aimed to assess the biological efficacy of the triple arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM) mixture of fungi Glomus etunicatum, G. leptotichum and Rhizophagus intraradices, and mix it with organic matter (O) and pathogenic fungi Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.lycopersici by using voyeurism in the plastic house in the growth of the tomato plant after four and eight weeks of cultivation. The results were shown after the treatment of the tomato plant in agriculture with the mixture of mycorrhiza and the pathogenic fungi and organic matter were treated with the mixture of mycorrhiza, organic matter and pathogenic fungi together. The effect of mycorrhiza and organic matter interference on the increase in the percentage of the lignin afte

Due to the importance of this sequence in terms of stratification and economics in the oil industry, it has been focused on in this study. The present study includes three oil fields in central of Iraq within the Mesopotaminan Zone, East Baghdad, Balad and Kifl oil fields. This study was accomplished by describing 190 thin sections and interpreting the response of the available well logging data. Seven major microfacies were diagnosed in the Hartha succession at studied oil fields, they are; Orbitoidal wackestone - packstone, Orbitoidal and miliolids wackestone, Rotaliidae and Siderolites with echinodermata wackestone - packstone,

The purpose of this paper is to use the dynamic methodology which provides a flexible method, especially in the analysis of discrete survival time, to estimate the effect of covariate variables through time in the survival analysis on dialysis patients with kidney failure until death occurs. Where the estimations process is completely based on the Bayes approach by using two estimation methods: the maximum A Posterior (MAP) involved with Iteratively Weighted Kalman Filter Smoothing (IWKFS) and in combination with the Expectation Maximization (EM) algorithm. While the other

The study and identification of botany is necessary because human life has become closely linked to the life of plants as food. In addition to using plants as food, primitive man did not stop at this point, but rather developed their use to hunt prey and also used toxic plant materials in wars. With the passage of time, the ancient man was able to link the wild plants that cover the surface of the earth and the diseases that afflict him, so he used these plants or Parts of it are for treatment. A medicinal plant is defined as one or more of its parts that contain one or more chemicals in

delivery in maternity hospitals, and to find out the relationship between nurses knowledge and studied
variables (age, level of education, work times (shift) experience year, training course in nursing field).
Methodology: Descriptive analytic study was conducted on non-probability sample (convenient) of (70) nurses
to assess nurse’s knowledge related to oxytocin administration. The study is conducted at Al- kut Hospital for

In this study, Bis(4,4’-diaminophenoxy)ethane (compound C1) was synthesized via the reaction of p-hydroxyaniline with 1,2-dibromoethane. Schiff bases (compounds C2–C4) were subsequently obtained by condensing compound C1 with various aromatic aldehydes. These intermediates were further reacted with different anhydrides – namely phthalic anhydride and maleic anhydride – in order to yield the final derivatives (compounds C5–C10). All obtained compounds were characterized by using infrared spectroscopy and proton nuclear magnetic resonance, as well as through an assessment of their physical properties. Antimicrobial evaluation was conducted on some of the generated compounds using two bacterial strains (Escherichia coli and Staphyloc

This ligand was prepared in two steps, in the first step a solution of terephthaldehyde in methanol reacted under refluxe with 1,2-phenylenediamine to give precursore compound which reacted in the second step with 2,4- dihydroxybenzaldehyde to give the ligand. The complexes were synthesized by direct reaction of the corresponding metal chloride with the ligand. The ligand and complexes were characterized by spectroscopic methods [FT-IR, UV-vis, 1HNMR, HPLC and atomic absorption], chloride contant in addition to conductivity measurement. The stability constant K and Gibbs free energy ∆G were calculated for [[Ni2(H2L)Cl2], [Cu2(H2L)Cl2] complexes using spectrophoto
