Financial education, political instability and firm performance: Evidence from Malaysian SMEs
...Show More Authors

This study assesses the short-term and long-term interactions between firm performance, financial education and political instability in the case of Malaysia Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The simultaneous insertion of financial education and political instability within the study is done intentionally to inspect the effect of these two elements in one equation for the Malaysian economy. Using the bound testing methodology for cointegration and error correction models, advanced within an autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) framework, we examine whether a long-run equilibrium connection survives between firm performance and the above mentioned independent variables. Using this method, we uncover evidence of a positive long-term link b

MONITORING OF THE WILD MAMMAL FAUNA IN BAMO MOUNTAIN IN NORTHERN IRAQ (KURDISTAN) FOR THE FIRST TIME USING CAMERA TRAP METHOD AND RAISING AWARENESS FOR ITS CONSERVATION
...Show More Authors

Mammals are under threat worldwide due to deforestation, hunting, and other human activities. In Iraq, a total of 93 species of wild mammals have been recorded including species with global conservation concern. Bamo Mountain is situated within the Zagros Mountains in northern Iraq which is a suitable habitat for wild mammals. Due to scarcity of the field survey efforts and cryptic behavior, monitoring of the wild mammals fauna in Zagros Mountain seems challenging. Therefore, we used a camera trap which seems to be an ideal way to determine species diversity of wild mammals in Bamo Mountain. Moreover, interviews with local villagers were performed. The mammalian diversity of Bamo Mountain is not fully explored but seemed threatened by lo

The Night in Cuneiform Texts
...Show More Authors

This study highlights the social concepts of the ‘night’ of the residents of Mesopotamia, who realized the nature of the universe, constellations, planets, stars, and the sun and the moon and their effect on the daily life. Moreover, they recognized the requirements of the day and the aspects of the night that impacted their life in one way or another. Through the cuneiform regarding day and night, we found that people had their special view concerning ‘night’ in terms of religious and secular dimensions. They had benefited from the appearance of stars and the moon and had related many events – social, religious, or military – to these phenomena. I chose to do this study in relation to ‘night’ due to its importance in the th

The fate of Pharaoh's magicians in the Quran : objective study
...Show More Authors

Out of the search for the truth, the reader of the Holy Qur’an should know the fate of the sorcerers whom Pharaoh threatened when they announced it as pure monotheism in front of seeing the stick as it turned into a clear serpent, when they said: We believe in the Lord of the worlds, the Lord of Moses and Aaron, and the clear promise came to cut and crucify the trunks of palm trees, and they said what they said if Being supplicants to God (May God cause us to die as Muslims), did Pharaoh actually carry out what he promised them?? So we studied that subject from this angle. Because what looms on the horizon of the Holy Qur’an is that there is no one who seeks refuge with God Almighty in times of adversity except that God Almighty has

This research paper studies the use of symbols in Hawthorne's The House of Seven gables as an example of his general use of symbolism in his novels. The general pattern of Hawthorne's symbolism is that he presents one major symbol that embodies the main idea, and supports it with a number of minor symbols that develop and elucidate it. In The House of the Seven Gables, the major symbol is the house itself, which stands for corruption, evil, and the injustice of the past. This symbol is supported by such secondary symbols as the heart, the fountain, the
