The specialized Journalism plays an important role in our daily lives using all of its different ways, including news, caricature, commentary and dialogue. The specialized Journalism deserves vigilance and interest for it is caring about having a new media system. It is meant by “specialization”, first: identifying the areas of work in which the person concerned possesses great knowledge in the specialty resulting from a long experience, it also means being able to continuously develop required skills in that specialty. The specialization is not only a feature of the press, but also a feature of human development; thousands of years ago, the primitive society consisted of people from different specializations: fishermen, farmers, herders and later handworkers, scientists, warriors, etc … And the Specialized Journalism we are looking for represents this social groupement of labors, as a result, Journalism continued to be active, and there was stronger development of media in society.
The research consists of an introduction, three topics, and a conclusion. The first section deals with the methodological framework, while the second section, titled - specialized journalism - contains its concept, origins and types. The third section deals with the field study that consists of respecting two requirements: the first shows the procedures of the research, while the second displays the result and interprets the field study. The research’s importance comes from the importance of the subject dealt with, also Specialized journalism plays a more serious and positive role as it helps more efficiently in the development of its field of competence, also the generalization of specialized knowledge and information and the follow-up of its development, along with the support initiatives of innovation are considered as important objectives for specialized journalism, especially when thinking about its role in the development of the economy’s branches along with creating social and educational values, as well as spreading awareness through its various activities. Hence the importance of the topic as it deals with the description and analysis of the importance of specialization in our lives in general and specialized journalism in the media in particular. The researcher’s motive to make this study was the feeling of importance of media and its danger in the iraqi society, particularly in 2003, the phase which witnessed political, military and media related confrontations between Iraq and the coalition countries, which remained active along the research’s preparation period. Moreover, the importance of the research lies in the fact that it deals with a problem that is related with media and politics, and that can produce useful and meaningful scientific results.
