MEDIA SUSTAINABILITY INDEX IN IRAQ
...Show More Authors

The importance of this research lies in assessing the current state of media in Iraq based on international indicators and standards set by the Research and Scientific Exchange Council and UNESCO. That is to measure the strength and durability of media after 9 April 2003. These indicators are divided into five objectives that measure and describe each of the five research objectives that we seek to test through the points system.

Based on the foregoing, researchers in Iraqi media find that these conditions may lead to further decline unless measures are taken to help avoid mistakes, provide the requirements for development and progress. In addition, care from the State is needed to support this process, which wouldn’t be rewarding and beneficial unless the State also requires:

- Issuance of new legislation, that carries out the necessary conditions for the growth of a free and democratic press.

- Emphasizes protection of journalists and promotes their active role in society.

We hope through this research to setup development field studies in the formulation of a new thought on Iraqi media that address the imbalances of the position of the tribe, partisan intolerance, control of politicians and money in this important process. In addition to seek new formulas in the development of technical staff in editing and directing Management of marketing operations, field follow-up, conduct research, theoretical and field studies that will follow and diagnose the factors that help to encircle the manifestations of underdevelopment.

Modeling of Monocrystalline PV Cell Considering Ambient Conditions in Baghdad City
...Show More Authors

Abstract

The environmental conditions are important factors, because they affect both the efficiency of a photovoltaic module and the energy load. This research was carried out experimentally and modeling was done in MATLAB –Simulink by monitoring the variation in power output of the system with environmental conditions such as solar radiation, ambient temperature, wind speed, and humidity of Baghdad city. From the results, the ambient temperatures are inversely proportional to humidity and the output power performance of the system, while the wind speed is directly proportional with the output power performance of the system.

Bionics-Based Approach for Object Tracking to Implement in Robot Applications
...Show More Authors

In this paper, an approach for object tracking that is inspired from human oculomotor system is proposed and verified experimentally. The developed approach divided into two phases, fast tracking or saccadic phase and smooth pursuit phase. In the first phase, the field of the view is segmented into four regions that are analogue to retinal periphery in the oculomotor system. When the object of interest is entering these regions, the developed vision system responds by changing the values of the pan and tilt angles to allow the object lies in the fovea area and then the second phase will activate. A fuzzy logic method is implemented in the saccadic phase as an intelligent decision maker to select the values of the pan and tilt angle based
