...Show More Authors

The tremendous political transformations that took place in Iraq after 2003 led by the USA and its allies led to a change of its political system under the slogan of liberating Iraq from dictatorship, establishing a democratic system and spreading freedom among members of the society.
However, democracy was a mantle under which the US intended to achieve its expansionist ambitions in the region. It did not come to liberate Iraq as it claimed, but it occupied Iraq and all its materialistic and human resources. Thus, this change resulted in lots of negative events and societal pests that affected the entire social system and values. Youth is an important segment; it is one of the most affected age groups with the happenings and accidents around. Iraq is considered as one of the youngest communities having (9.2) million people according to the results of enumeration and numbering of the Central Bureau of Statistics, and rose slightly to (9.3) million in 2011. The absence and deterioration of the security and the political situation led to the creation of a state of chaos and looting, destruction of public property, emigration, sectarian conflict , tribal appearance, increasing divorce rates , as well as widespread of administrative and financial corruption among the political class. All this resulted in the spread of poverty and unemployment and the migration of capital (finances) seeking for a safe environment to live in. Hence, it was essential to shed lights on those problems , Youth and how to direct and guide them in a proper way.
Media in general and the press in particular are regarded one of the social adjustment institutions via their roles on their societies. These institutions have been regarded the third institution of social development coming after family and school. Moreover, they monitor and reform society as a whole. So that this study sheds light on the various problems, issues and challenges that face the Iraqi society, in an attempt to identify their causes and trying to find suitable solutions, so as to keep Youth, being the real wealth, safe and rehabilitate them after the great collapse that has damaged their values and customs. By doing so, Youth are offered the best opportunities for good life making in order to make them more productive and active enjoying stability leading to adapt their national identity.
This study adopts the social problems of the Youth. Those problems are danger and have bad effect on the Youth as they lead to psychological diseases that generate depression and lack of self-interest. The research sheds light on these problems trying to find appropriate solutions that can contribute to reduce and restrict those problems that gnawed Iraq.

Background: The study was designed to evaluate the effect of local application of exogenous VEGF/collagen I separately and as a combination in socket healing. Sixty male Albino Wistar rats were subjected for a surgical tooth extraction of upper 1st molar of both sides (right side was considered as experimental site, while left be the control one, treated with 1µL of normal saline). The rats were scarified at 3, 7, 14, 28 days post extraction. Socket healing was histologically examined with immunohistochemistochemical localization of ALP&FGF2. Materials and Method: Sixty male Albino Wistar rats were subjected for a surgical tooth extraction of upper 1stmolar of both sides (right side was considered as experimental site, while left be the

Background: White spot lesions are esthetic problems caused by subsurface enamel demineralization that seen as white opacity. Aim of the study: This study aimed to evaluate and to compare the color change after the treatment of the white spot lesions with resin ‹nϔ‹Žtrƒt‹on and micro abrasion. Materials and Methods: rt‹ϔ‹…‹ƒŽ white spot lesions were generated on 48 premolar teeth by the use of a demineralization solution. The teeth were randomly divided using the Diagnodent into three study groups (16 teeth for each group) depending on the depth of the induced lesions: outer enamel, inner enamel and outer dentine. Background: The marginal fit is the most characteristic that closely related to the longevity or success of a restoration, which is absolutely affected by the fabrication technique. The objective of present in vitro study was to evaluate the effect of four different CAD/CAM systems on the marginal fit of lithiµm disilicate all ceramic crowns. Materials and Methods: Adentoform tooth of a right mandibular first molar was prepared to receive all ceramic crown restoration with deep chamfer finishing line (1mm) and axial reduction convergence angle of 6 degree, dentoform model duplicated to have Nickel-Chromiµm master die. Thirty two stone dies produce from master die and distributed randomly in to four groups (8 dies for each group) accor

Effect of Resin Infiltration and Microabrasion on the Microhardness of the Artificial White Spot Lesions (An in Vitro Study)
...Show More Authors

Background: White spot lesion is the first visible sign of dental caries that is characterized by demineralized lesion underneath an intact surface. Several studies demonstrated that they could be treated using noninvasive techniques like the use of fluoride or casein phospho-peptide and amorphous calcium phosphate. Improvement in aesthetic outcomes by covering the demineralized enamel is one of the advantages of the use of resin infiltration and opal-ustre microabrasion, which are two new techniques that had been used for treatment of white spot lesion. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of resin infiltration and microabrasion in the microhardness of the artificial white spot lesions at various depths. Material and method
