Attitudes of the Iraqi Public towards the Propaganda Logic of Terrorist Organizations
...Show More Authors

The research entitled "the attitudes of Iraqi People towards the Logic Propaganda for Terrorist Organization such as Daash Regulation, as-Qaida, and Jabhat al-Nasra". It is a field study on the professors and the students of the College of Mass Media at Baghdad University in 2014.

After the global war on terrorism declared on September 11, 2011, the researcher finds it is important to study such subject as it threats the unity and sovereignty of Iraq especially after the invasion of Daash regulation of parts of its lands. This research is a descriptive one. The researcher has used the "questionnaire form" to show the results and to express their digital implications.

Propaganda addresses firstly the emotions of people and secondly their minds. The terrorist organizations exploit the emotional side as an essential pillar to achieve their goals especially in a crisis of a sectarian character. Daash regulation represents religious extremism on the Iraqi society. It threats peace and security in the Arab Homeland; its philosophy is non-religious in order to break up the Arabs and Muslim world particularly its funding sources are international funding.

It also uses different styles of propaganda to convince the public and create an environment of sectarian through violence and power (force) among the components of Iraqi society. Daash regulation depends on electronic media more than the traditional one due to its quickly spread and easily browsed by most people.

One of the most important reasons behind the decline of this regulation is the formation of the popular crowd troops to support the Iraqi armed forces.

CD40 Gene Variants and Disease Susceptibility: A Comprehensive Review of Associations with Immune-Mediated Inflammatory Diseases, Cancer, and Infectious Diseases
...Show More Authors

CD40 is a type 1 transmembrane protein composed of 277 amino acids, and it belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) superfamily. It is expressed in a variety of cell types, including normal B cells, macrophages, dendritic cells, and endothelial cells, as a costimulatory molecule. This study aims to summarize the CD40 polymorphism effect and its susceptibility to immune-related disorders. The CD40 gene polymorphisms showed a significant association with different immune-related disorders and act as a risk factor for increased susceptibility to these diseases.

Antibacterial activity of Trigonella Foenum- groecum essential oil against skin infection with Staphylococcus aureus: In vitro and in vivo studies
...Show More Authors

Background: Multi- drug resistant (MDR) Staphylococcus aureus infections have become a major public health concern in both hospital and community settings. Objective: to investigate the antibacterial activity of T. Foenum- groecum essential oil against skin infection with S. aureus and to study probable synergistic activity in combination with Clindamycin.Type of the study: Cross-sectional study.

Methods: Antibacterial activity of T. Foenum- groecum essential oil extract (1.2gm/100 µl) was investigated in multi- drug resistance (MDR) Staphylococcus aureus specimen isolated from patients with skin infection in Baghdad. T. Foenum- groecum use externally for cellulites and skin inflammation due to the presence of diosgenin .fast liq

Effect of Black Cardamom Extracts on Mutans Streptococci in Comparison to Chlorhexidine Gluconate and De-ionized Water (In Vitro Study)
...Show More Authors

Background: Spices and herbs have been used by many cultures to enhance the flavor and aroma of food and for their medicinal value. Black cardamom is one of these spices widely used in cooking because of its unique taste and powerful flavor. The aim of study was to test the effect of black cardamom on Mutans Streptococci in comparison to chlorhexidine gluconate (0.2%) and de-ionized water. Materials and methods: Dried fruits of black cardamom were extracted by using alcohol (70% ethanol). Saliva was collected from seven volunteers. Agar well technique with different concentrations of black cardamom extracts was used to test the sensitivities of Mutans Streptococci, as well black cardamom extracts effect on viable counts of Mutans Streptococ

Numerical Study of Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer Characteristics in Solid and Perforated Finned Heat Sinks Utilizing a Piezoelectric Fan
...Show More Authors

Numerical study is adapted to combine between piezoelectric fan as a turbulent air flow generator and perforated finned heat sinks. A single piezoelectric fan with different tip amplitudes placed eccentrically at the duct entrance. The problem of solid and perforated finned heat sinks is solved and analyzed numerically by using Ansys 17.2 fluent, and solving three dimensional energy and Navier–Stokes equations that set with RNG based k−ε scalable wall function turbulent model. Finite volume algorithm is used to solve both phases of solid and fluid. Calculations are done for three values of piezoelectric fan amplitudes 25 mm, 30 mm, and 40 mm, respectively. Results of this numerical study are compared with previous b

Images of Woman, She-Camel and Horse and Their Manifestations in Tarafah-ibnulAbd's Poetry between Symbolic Reference and Poetic Function
...Show More Authors

This paper tries to understand the poetic reference in the images of woman, she-camel, horse and their manifestations in Tarafah-ibnulAbd's poetry. There has got my attention the fact that these three images have their own distinct taste which is characterised by a clear rhythm, let alone the  lively nature that is filled with liveliness and activity to be in harmony with the poet's youth. For these three images represented the best manifestations of his psychological and artistic poetics. The paper adopts an artistic analysis to arrive at the psychological aspects of these experiences-the woman, the she-camel, and the horse- and to understand the functions of their images and symbolic reference.
