Learning Styles according to the Model of Felder & Silverman and its Relationship with Mathematical Self-perceived Efficacy to Students of the College of Education for Pure Sciences-Ibn Al-Haitham
...Show More Authors

This research aims toknow the learning styles according to the model of Felder and Silverman and its relationship to effectively self- perceived mathematicalamong students of the Faculty of Education Pure Sciences - Ibn al-Haytham. By answering the following questions: 1. What are the preferred methods of learning among students in the mathematics department according to the model Felder and Silverman? 2. What is the mathematicalself-perceived levelof the students at the Department of Mathematics effectiveness level? 3. What is the relationship between learning styles according to the Felder model and Silverman and the effectiveness of mathematical self-perceived of the students of the Department of Mathematics? The research sample consisted of 80 male and female students from the fourth grade students in the Department of Mathematics in the College of Education Pure Sciences - Ibn al-Haytham for the academic year 2015/2016. As for the two tools the first search tools is a measure of learning methods developed by (Felder and Silverman, 1988) Translation (Al-Zubaidi, 2015) which consisted of 44 items distributed on four areas: (practical - Contemplative) - (sensory - intuitive) - (optical -pronunciation) - (sequential - total). And the second tool and is a measure of the effectiveness of sports self-perceived, which consists of a paragraph (30), were reliability and validity account and conducted statistical analyzes to calculate the difficulty and ease transactions. After the use of appropriate statistical methods to analyze the results, the results indicated that (1) 37.5% of the students have more than one level indicating no preference for any style of learning. (2) 30% of the students' own (visual - verbal)method (3) 16.25% of the students' own (sensory - intuitive)method. (4) 11.25% of the students' own (sequential - total)method. (5) 5% of the students' own (practical - Contemplative)method. (6) Students did not prefer any of the styles (intuitive - verbal - total). (7) the students in grade IV Department of Mathematics in the College of Education Pure Sciences / Ibn alHaytham students have aware of the effectiveness of mathmatics. (8) There is no relationship between the learning styles according to the model Felder and Silverman and the effectiveness of sports self-conscious of the students of the Department of Mathematics Therefore, the researcher recommends that students should be aware of the methods and activities that are compatible with their learning methods, as well as the development of their perceived mathematical effectiveness to enhance their ability to solve any mathematical task, no matter how difficult and flexible it may be.In the light of the results of the research, a number of proposals were developed.

Chemokine network dysregulation in EGFR-mutant NSCLC: impact on tumor immunity and drug resistance
...Show More Authors

EGFR-mutant non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) initially responds well to EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs), yet resistance is nearly inevitable and responses to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) remain limited. In a retrospective cohort of 57 patients with advanced EGFR-mutant NSCLC treated with nivolumab or pembrolizumab, the objective response rate was 12.3%, although responses were concentrated in a small subgroup with concurrent high PD-L1 expression and dense intratumoral CD8⁺ immune-cell infiltration. Emerging evidence links these outcomes to chemokine-network dysregulation that alters immune trafficking and spatial organization. Oncogenic EGFR signaling shifts chemokine networks away from effector T-cell recruitment

Comparative Study between Recycled Fine and Coarse Aggregate Used in Roller Compacted Concrete Pavement
...Show More Authors

To decrease the impact on the environment of building waste, the recycled aggregate may be used in various sustainable engineering applications, such as roller compacted concrete pavement (RCCP). This research examined how using recycled aggregate as a partial replacement for natural aggregate as coarse or fine affected the mechanical properties of roller-compacted concrete pavement. The recycled aggregate was crushed and sieved to coarse and fine aggregate before being used in the roller-compacted concrete pavement. Compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, and flexural strength were all evaluated after the samples were prepared at 28 and 90 days of curing. According to the study's findings, the partial replacem

A new pseudorandom bits generator based on a 2D-chaotic system and diffusion property
...Show More Authors

A remarkable correlation between chaotic systems and cryptography has been established with sensitivity to initial states, unpredictability, and complex behaviors. In one development, stages of a chaotic stream cipher are applied to a discrete chaotic dynamic system for the generation of pseudorandom bits. Some of these generators are based on 1D chaotic map and others on 2D ones. In the current study, a pseudorandom bit generator (PRBG) based on a new 2D chaotic logistic map is proposed that runs side-by-side and commences from random independent initial states. The structure of the proposed model consists of the three components of a mouse input device, the proposed 2D chaotic system, and an initial permutation (IP) table. Statist

Developing Arabic License Plate Recognition System Using Artificial Neural Network and Canny Edge Detection
...Show More Authors

In recent years, there has been expanding development in the vehicular part and the number of vehicles moving on the roads in all the sections of the country. Arabic vehicle number plate identification based on image processing is a dynamic area of this work; this technique is used for security purposes such as tracking of stolen cars and access control to restricted areas. The License Plate Recognition System (LPRS) exploits a digital camera to capture vehicle plate numbers is used as input to the proposed recognition system. Basically, the proposed system consists of three phases, vehicle license plate localization, character segmentation, and character recognition, the

Modified Polyvinyl Alcohol Containing New Imides / Iron Oxide Nanoparticles :Synthesis , Characterization and Biological Evaluation
...Show More Authors

A series of new imides compounds[1-4] were synthesized from reaction of tetrachlorophthalic anhydride or nitro phthalic anhydride or malic anhydride or Succinic anhydride with 4-amino benzene thiol under fusion conditions. Chloroacetic acid has been added after compounds [1-4] reacted with distilled H2O and Na2CO3, producing compounds [5-8]. In benzene, compounds [5-8] also interacted with the thionyl chloride to produce [9-12]. Poly (vinyl alcohol) was chemically modified by reacting PVA with compounds [9-12] and dimethyl formamide to produce compounds [13-16]. Iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) are mixed with modified PVA [13-16] to create nanocomposites [17-20]. Spectral and analytical data from synthesized compounds, such as 1H-NMR, FTI

The media of all kinds have the task of introducing, expressing and objectively representing the cultures of different societies in various types and forms of press and media. The precept of media pluralism is the basis for freedom of expression & the cornerstone of its realization. Therefore, it is linked to the establishment of several conditions and elements in order to establish it as a principle and practice. Issues of cultural diversity in media and cultural pluralism are one of the most important elements and indicators. So, this paper aims to shed light on the concept of media pluralism and related concepts within the framework of cultural diversity and multicultural indicators. Thus, highlighting the feature

: The need for means of transmitting data in a confidential and secure manner has become one of the most important subjects in the world of communications. Therefore, the search began for what would achieve not only the confidentiality of information sent through means of communication, but also high speed of transmission and minimal energy consumption, Thus, the encryption technology using DNA was developed which fulfills all these requirements [1]. The system proposes to achieve high protection of data sent over the Internet by applying the following objectives: 1. The message is encrypted using one of the DNA methods with a key generated by the Diffie-Hellman Ephemeral algorithm, part of this key is secret and this makes the pro
