The 3-aminoacetophenone and 4-aminoantipyrine were used as precursors to prepare new six ligands. The three new ligands (L1,L2 and L3) were synthesis by reacting one mole of 3-aminoacetophenone with one mole of (Acetyl chloride), (benzoyl chloride), (4-methoxybenzoyl chloride) and ammonium thiocyanat in acetone as a solvent, they are:- L1 (AAA) =[N-(3-acetylphenylcarbamothioyl)acetamide] L2 (BAA) =[N-(3-acetylphenylcarbamothioyl)benzamide] L3 (MAA) =[N-(3-acetylphenylcarbamothioyl)-4-methoxy benzamide] Also three new derivatives of 4-aminoantipyrine were synthesis by reacting one mole of 4-aminoantipyrine with one mole of (Acetyl chloride), (benzoyl chloride), (4-methoxybenzoyl chloride) and ammonium thio
... Show MoreThe mixed ligands complexes of 8-hydroxyquinoline and Schiff base 1, 5-dimethyl-4-(5- oxohexan-2-ylideneamino)-2-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3 (2H)-one (L) with Cr(III) , Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II) , Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) ions were prepared. The compounds have been characterized by NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis and mass spectra, elemental microanalysis (C.H.N.), magnetic moment, chloride contain, atomic absorption and molar conductance. All prepared complexes were octahedral geometry. Compound structures treated theoretically using the program hyper chem. 8 in gas phase at 298°K. The compounds were also screened for their bioactive property such as antifungal and antibacterial.
New complexes of Al(III) such as [Al (Ura) (Phen) (OH2) Cl ] Cl. 2H2O, [Al(Ura)2(OA)(OH2)Cl].H2O and [Al(Ura)3Cl3]H2O type, where (Ura)=Uracil, (Phen)= 1,10-Phenanthroline monohydrate and (OA)= Oxalic acid dihydrate, were prepared. The elemental microanalysis, FT.IR, electronic spectra, and magnetic susceptibility as well as the conductivity measurements are characterized. For isolated three complexes for six coordinated of Al(III) are proposed with molecular formulas that depend on the nature of (Ura), (Phen) and (OA) present. The suggested molecular structure into all complexes for aluminum ion is octahedral geometries .The antibacterial efficacy was examined from metal salt (AlCl3), ligands and metal complexes into the pathogenic bacteri

These Schiff bases on treatment with monochloroacetyl choride gave 3-chloro-1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-(substituted)azetidin-2-one(Az4-Az6), with αmercaptoacetic acid gave 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-( substituted)thiazolidin-4-one (Th7-Th9) and with anthranilic acid gave 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2(substituted)-2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-one (Qu10-Qu12). The purity of the derivatives was confirmed by TLC. The some compoundsidentify by (FT-IR and1H, 13C-NMR) data. Some of derivatives were evaluated activity against several microbesto determine ability to inhibit bacterial in some h

Show MoreComplexes of Cr+3, Ni+2 and Cu+2 with the ligand 2-(p- nitrobenzoyl) thiobenzimidazol) (L) were prepared and characterized by FT-IR ,UV-Visible, TG analysis ,Atomic absorption spectroscopy , Molar conductivity and magnetic moments measurements .The general formula has been suggested for all the prepared complexes [Cr(L)2Cl2]Cl.4H2O, [Ni(L)2(H2O)2]Cl2.2H2O and [Cu(L)2(H2O)2]Cl2.2C2H5OH to be an octahedral geometry. A theoretical treatment of these compounds in gas phase was done using HyperChem.8.7 program. Semi –empirical PM3 method was performed to evaluate the ∆H° ƒ, ∆ Eb and ∆ET for all compounds, also vibration frequencies, electronic spectra and electrostatic potential HOMO and LUMO energies for the ligand was estimated to de

Show MoreComplexes of (Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+ and Hg2+) with the ligand Ethyl cyano (2-methyl carboxylate phenyl azo acetate) (ECA) have been prepared and characterized by FTIR, (UV-Visible), Atomic absorption spectroscopy, Molar conductivity measurements and magnetic moments measurements. The following general formula has been suggested for the prepared complexes [M(ECA)2]Cl2 where M = (Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+ ,Zn2+, Cd2+, Hg2+) and the geometry is octahedral.
New Azo ligands HL1 [2-Hydroxy-3-((5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)diazenyl)-1-naphth aldehyde] and HL2 [3-((1,5-Dimethyl-3-oxo-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)diazenyl)-2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde] have been synthesized from reaction (2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde) and (5-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol) for HL1 and (4-amino-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3(2H)-one) for HL2. Then, its metal ions complexes are synthesized with the general formula; [CrHL1Cl3(H2O)], [VOHL1(SO4)] [ML1Cl(H2O)] where M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II), and general formula; [Cr(L2)2 ]Cl and [M(L2)2] where M = VO(II), Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) are reported. The ligands and their metal complexes are characterized by phisco- chemical spectroscopic
... Show MoreNitrogen-comprising heterocyclic compounds and their derivatives have empirically been invaluable as therapeutic agents. Fundamentally, 4-chloro-6-nitro-2-amino-1,3-benzothiazole 1 was synthesized via bromination of 2-chloro-4-nitro aniline with ammonium thiocyanate. This new heterocyclic haloorganoamino-1,3-benzothiazole derivative, was a starting material, which condensed and tethered with three different aromatic aldehyde pendant arm in presence of ethanol and glacial acetic acid isolating an interesting sequence of tridentate Schiff bases 2-4. These compounds were used for complexation reactions in 1:1 (metal: ligand) stoichiometry to obtain heteroleptic Al(III), Ni (II) and K(I) benzothiazole chelat

Characterization of these compounds has been done on the basis of elemental analysis, electronic data, FT-IR, UV-Vis and 1HNMR, as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. The nature of the complexes formed were studied following the mole ratio and continuous variation methods, Beer's law obeyed over a concentration range (1×10-4 - 3×10-4 M). High molar absorbtivity of the complex solutions were observed. From the analytical data, the stoichiometry of the complexes has been found to be 1:2 (metal:ligand). On the basis of physicochemical data octa
