A Comparative Review of Conventional Mechanical and Solar‐Driven Cooling Technologies: Performance and Environmental Perspectives
...Show More Authors
ABSTRACT
Conventional cooling systems are major energy consumers in hot climates, directly contributing to increased carbon emissions and placing a significant strain on Iraq's national electricity grid. This study aims to explore and evaluate clean and sustainable alternatives to conventional systems. The methodology is based on a comparative analysis of various cooling technologies, including mechanical, absorption, adsorption, drying, and hybrid systems, using key performance indicators such as the coefficient of performance (COP), energy consumption, carbon emissions, and system cooling capacity. The results show that innovative solar cooling technologies offer superior operational efficiency and significantly lower carbon emissions compared to mechanical systems. Single‐effect absorption systems are the optimal choice for the local climate, as they can operate efficiently at operating temperatures (80°C–85°C) achievable with evacuated solar collectors. Furthermore, integrating thermal storage (PCM) technologies reduces system performance fluctuations, reaching approximately 33.5% [1], thus ensuring cooling stability. Based on an in‐depth analysis of the latest available literature, it is possible to save up to approximately 45% [2, 3] of the energy consumed by harnessing the abundant solar radiation in Iraq for most days of the year, depending on the type and efficiency of the system used.

A Modern Approach towards an Industry 4.0 Model: From Driving Technologies to Management
...Show More Authors

Every so often, a confluence of novel technologies emerges that radically transforms every aspect of the industry, the global economy, and finally, the way we live. These sharp leaps of human ingenuity are known as industrial revolutions, and we are currently in the midst of the fourth such revolution, coined Industry 4.0 by the World Economic Forum. Building on their guideline set of technologies that encompass Industry 4.0, we present a full set of pillar technologies on which Industry 4.0 project portfolio management rests as well as the foundation technologies that support these pillars. A complete model of an Industry 4.0 factory which relies on these pillar technologies is presented. The full set of pillars encompasses cyberph

Comparison of Conventional and Aerobic Iandfill Simulator Reactors (case study; Kirkuk city, Iraq)
...Show More Authors

Under aerobic and anaerobic conditions, two laboratory-scale reactors were operated. Each reactor
was packed with 8.5 kg of shredded synthetic solid waste (less than 5 cm) that was prepared according to an
average composition of domestic solid waste in the city of Kirkuk. Using an air compressor, aerobic
conditions were created in the aerobic reactor. This study shows that the aerobic reactor was more efficient in
COD and BOD5 removal which were 97.88% and 91.25% while in case of anaerobic reactor, they were
66.53%and 19.11%, respectively.

Analysis Evolution of Image Caption Techniques: Combining Conventional and Modern Methods for Improvement
...Show More Authors

This study explores the challenges in Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems in generating image captions, a task that requires effective integration of computer vision and natural language processing techniques. A comparative analysis between traditional approaches such as retrieval- based methods and linguistic templates) and modern approaches based on deep learning such as encoder-decoder models, attention mechanisms, and transformers). Theoretical results show that modern models perform better for the accuracy and the ability to generate more complex descriptions, while traditional methods outperform speed and simplicity. The paper proposes a hybrid framework that combines the advantages of both approaches, where conventional methods prod

Conventional and Molecular Typing of Salmonella enterica serotype Typhi Locally Isolated In Baghdad
...Show More Authors

Phenotypic And genotypic characteristics of Salmonella enterica serotype Typhi have been determined for 29 isolates, from Baghdad in 2007. Conventional typing methods were performed by biochemical tests, and antimicrobial susceptibility test. Molecular typing performed by analysis plasmid DNA beside using the Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD-PCR). For the latter, two universal primers that have selected for the high discriminatory power were used for RAPD analysis. All isolates were belong one biotype according to the differention by their ability to decarboxylat lysine, 29(100%) were lysine (+). All the isolates were susceptible to the Antibiotics used. However, all the strains free of plasmids. RAPD was capable of grouping the strai

Identification of Pathogenic Fungi in Renal Transplant Patients by Conventional and Molecular Methods
...Show More Authors

Opportunistic fungal infections due to the immune- compromised status of renal transplant patients are related to high rates of morbidity and mortality regardless of their minor incidence. Delayed in identification of invasive fungal infections (IFIs), will lead to delayed treatment and results in high mortality in those populations. The study aimed to assess the frequency of invasive fungal infection in kidney transplant recipients by conventional and molecular methods. This study included 100 kidney transplant recipients (KTR) (75 males, and 25 females), collected from the Centre of Kidney Diseases and Transplantation in the Medical City of Baghdad. Blood samples were collected during the period from June 2018 to April 2019. Twent

Digital technologies in the means of communication
...Show More Authors

Modern digital technologies have affected the means of communication in terms of structure, function and methods of dealing with them, and the communication process has changed, becoming bilateral, reciprocal and interactive, after it was one-way and limited in circulation and the roles changed, so the receiver became the sender and reversed is correct, and the culture of the active user and the participant spread, and the communication process became continuous.
The international information network has provided new electronic channels in the media and communication that are not known and opened a new era for these means, which led to a trend towards digital media in an unprecedented way.
The new communication platforms are the re

With increasing population and development, the resources of fossil fuels decreased, leading to the need to find alternative sources of energy. Furthermore, the use of fossil fuels is accompanied by several downsides including environmental fatality associated with toxic gas emissions from diesel engines and continuous increase of the price of diesel fuel. Biodiesel is one of the most important types of renewable energy that replaces the fossil fuel requirement (mineral diesel) and maintains eco-friendly sustainability. Calcium is an essential plant nutrient as it plays an important role in the formation of plant cell walls and membranes. Therefore, the fallen leaves of mango tree can be utilized to produce nano calcium oxide a
