Spectroscopic and structural studies of cadmium oxide thin films prepared by D.C magnetron sputtering
...Show More Authors

Cadmium oxide thin films were prepared by D.C magnetron plasma sputtering using different voltages (700, 800, 900, 1000, 1100 and 1200) Volt. The Cadmium oxide structural properties using XRD analysis for just a voltage of 1200 volt at room temperature after annealing in different temperatures (523 and 623) K were studied .The results show that the films prepared at room temperature have some peaks belong to cadmium element along the directions (002), (100), (102) and (103) while the other peaks along the directions of (111), (200) and (222) belong to cadmium oxide. Annealed samples display only cadmium oxide peaks. Also, the spectroscopic properties of plasma diagnostic for CdO thin films were determined and the results show that the el

Elastic Form Factors and Matter Density Distributions of Some Neutron-Rich Nuclei
...Show More Authors

The ground-state properties of exotic 18N and 20F nuclei, including the neutron, proton and matter densities and related radii are investigated using the two-body model of within Gaussian (GS) and Woods Saxon (WS) wave functions. The long tail is evident in the computed neutron and matter densities of these nuclei. The plane wave Born approximation (PWBA) is calculate the elastic form factors of these exotic nuclei. The variation in the proton density distributions due to the presence of the extra neutrons in 18N and 20F leads to a major difference between the elastic form factors of these exotic nuclei and their stable isotopes 14N and 19F. The reaction c

Concentration of Orange Juice Using Forward Osmosis Membrane Process
...Show More Authors

Forward osmosis (FO) process was applied to concentrate the orange juice. FO relies on the driving force generating from osmotic pressure difference that result from concentration difference between the draw solution (DS) and orange juice as feed solution (FS). This driving force makes the water to transport from orange juice across a semi-permeable membrane to the DS without any energy applied. Thermal and pressure-driven dewatering methods are widely used, but they are prohibitively energy intensive and hence, expensive. Effects of various operating conditions on flux have been investigated. Four types of salts were used in the DS, (NaCl, CaCl2, KCl, and MgSO4) as osmotic agent and the experiments were performed at the concentration of

Orthodontic considerations of functional occlusion in Class І normal occlusion
...Show More Authors

Background: The therapeutic goal of orthodontic treatment is to establish ideal occlusion which includes both static and functional aspects. The objective of this study was to clarify functional occlusal treatment goals by analyzing functional occlusion in subjects with established normal occlusion and identify the differences between canine protected occlusion and group function occlusion. Materials and Methods: The sample consisted of 62 subjects with normal occlusion and with an age range of (18-25 years).Functional occlusal contacts during lateral excursion were identified on a fully adjustable articulator, and then the samples were classified according to: 1) Type of functional occlusion: A) Canine protected occlusion group (canine pr

Communication and media technologies have seen several changes in the last two decades. These changes put the basis for the emergence of communicative and media practices on several levels including political, economic, technological and artistic. And these, in turn, led to the emergence of new media trends and phenomena in various areas of media worthily to be studied and researched for example online advertisings. Online advert

The use of image analysis to study the effect of moisture content on the physical properties of grains
...Show More Authors
Abstract
Designing machines and equipment for post-harvest operations of agricultural products requires information about their physical properties. The aim of the work was to evaluate the possibility of introducing a new approach to predict the moisture content in bean and corn seeds based on measuring their dimensions using image analysis using artificial neural networks (ANN). Experimental tests were carried out at three levels of wet basis moisture content of seeds: 9, 13 and 17%. The analysis of the results showed a direct relationship between the wet basis moisture content and the main dimensions of the seeds. Based on the statistical analysis of the seed material, it was shown that the characteristics
... Show More
