The development of new cephalosporins with improved activity against resistant microbes, such as, MRSA (methicillin resistant Staph. aureus), P. aeruginosa, is of high potential. In this study, we investigate the link between resistance to a clinically important antibiotic, imipenem, and biofilm formation.
