This study presents an investigation about the effect of fire flame on the punching shear strength of hybrid fiber reinforced concrete flat plates. The main considered parameters are the fiber type (steel or glass) and the burning steady-state temperatures (500 and 600°C). A total of 9 half-scale flat plate specimens of dimensions 1500mm×1500mm×100mm and 1.5% fiber volume fraction were cast and divided into 3 groups. Each group consisted of 3 specimens that were identical to those in the other groups. The specimens of the second and the third groups were subjected to fire flame influence for 1 hour and steady-state temperature of 500 and 600°C respectively. Regarding the cooling process, water sprinkling was applied directly after the burning stage to represent the sudden cooling process. Generally, the obtained results exhibited a significant increase in the punching shear capacity of the fiber-reinforced slabs as compared to the corresponding no fiber-reinforced slabs even at elevated burning temperatures 600°C. The ultimate load was increased by about 16.6, 19, and 21.5% at temperatures of 25, 500, and 600°C respectively, for steel fiber reinforced slabs and by about 13.9, 27.2, and 34.6% for slabs containing two mixed types of fibers (steel and glass), as compared with the reference specimen at the same temperatures respectively. In addition, the results indicated that fibers' presence in concrete resulted in gradually punching failure with more ductile mode, whereas the failure was sudden with a brittle mode in the slabs that did not contain fibers.
This research aims to know the effect of the strategy of map bubbles on developing the skills of science operations among 5th grade literary students in the subject of rhetoric and application, and the design of the experimental and control groups with the pre and post-tests was used. The research sample consisted of (50) students divided into two groups, an experimental group of which reached the number of its members is (25) students and studied using the strategy of map bubbles, and a control group of its members reached (25) students and studied in the traditional (standard) method. The researchers prepared a multiple-choice achievement test with several (30) paragraphs, and its validity and consistency were extracted. Then the test was
... Show MoreThe agricultural lands that depend on supplementary irrigation methods for winter wheat cultivating in wide areas of the Nineveh province are most vulnerable to climate change concerns. Due to frequent rainfall shortages and the temperature increase recently noticed and predicted by the climate scenarios. Hence important to assess the climate effect on the crop response in terms of water consumption during the periods (2021-2040) and (2041-2060) by using high-resolution data extracted from 6 global climate data GCMs under SSP5-8.5 fossil fuel emission scenarios in changing and fixed CO2 concentration. And validate the Aqua-Crop model to estimate the yield and water productivity. And gives the RRSME of 7.1- 4.1
... Show MoreStealthy intracellular bacterial pathogens are known to establish persistent and sometimes lifelong infections. Some of these pathogens also have a tropism for the reproductive system, thereby increasing the risk of reproductive disease and infertility. To date, the pathogenic mechanism involved remains poorly understood. Here, we demonstrate that
This study investigates the impact of incorporating carbon quantum dots (CQDs) into the SnO 2 electron transport layer (ETL) on the performance of all-inorganic CsPbBr 3 perovskite solar cells (PSCs). CQDs with abundant surface functional groups were synthesized hydrothermally and integrated into a low-temperature, solution-processed SnO 2 ETL at varying concentrations (0%, 2% and 4%). Comprehensive characterization revealed that the SnO 2 : CQDs composite films exhibited
... Show MoreGeomorphology is concerned with the topographic units that make up the Earth's surface. These take many forms, such as mountains and rivers, and include many dangers such as landslides, landslides and erosion. Many studies appeared in this field to analyze its effects and risks resulting from it, including urban studies, to determine the trends of optimal urban expansion and its geomorphological interactions. The results showed that the city of Kut originated and expanded near the course of the Tigris River and its branches, and it suffers from unbalanced urban expansion, due to the high rate of population growth, and overcrowding in housing units with the growth of urban land uses in it, which prompted the city to extend horizontally and v
... Show MoreBackground: Eucalyptus extracts and derivatives are natural substances with potent antimicrobial properties. This study investigated the in- vitro effects of non-nutritive sweeteners on the antifungal activity of alcoholic and aqueous Eucalyptus extracts against Candida albicans, a common oral pathogen. Materials and Method: Ten isolates of Candida albicans were isolated from dental students’ salivary samples. The alcoholic and aqueous extracts were prepared from fresh Eucalyptus leaves using maceration. The sensitivity of Candida albicans isolates to various concentrations of Eucalyptus extracts ranging from 50 to 250 (mg/mL) was evaluated via agar well diffusion method, while the agar streaking method was used to assess the minimum
... Show MoreThe research aimed at finding out the effect of functional rotation on the tax performance of the employees of the General Authority for Taxes through the five-meter questionnaire prepared according to the required data. The data obtained from the research sample were analyzed. The results showed a significant effect of recycling In the tax performance, and this is evident from the proportion of his contribution to the interpretation of the total variation, which is a good indicator of the impact of functional rotation in the performance of the body sample research.
