Enhanced thermal and electrical properties of epoxy/carbon fiber–silicon carbide composites
...Show More Authors

The silicon carbide/carbon fiber (SiC/CF) hybrid fillers were introduced to improve the electrical and thermal conductivities of the epoxy resin composites. Results of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy revealed that the peaks at 3532 and 2850 cm−1 relate to carboxylic acid O–H stretching and aldehyde C–H stretching appearing deeper with an increased volume fraction of SiC. Scanning electron microscopic image shows a better interface bonding between the fiber and the matrix when the volume fraction of SiC particles are increased. As frequency increases from 102 Hz to 106 Hz, dielectric constants decrease slightly. Dissipation factor (tan δ) values keep low a

Thermal buckling and stability of laminated plates under non uniform temperature distribution
...Show More Authors

Stability of laminated plate under thermal load varied linearly along thickness, is developed using a higher order displacement field which depend on a parameter “m”, whose value is optimized to get results closest to three-dimension elasticity results. Hamilton, s principle is used to derive equations of motion for laminated plates. These equations are solved using Navier-type for simply supported boundary conditions to obtain non uniform critical thermal buckling and fundamental frequency under a ratio of this load. Many design parameters of cross ply and angle ply laminates such as, number of layers, aspect ratios and E1/E2 ratios for thick and thin plates are investigated. It is observed that linear and uniform distribution of

Influence of Solar and Geomagnetic Activity on the Ionospheric Sporadic-E Layer Over Baghdad
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>This study examines the monthly mean diurnal variations of the ionospheric sporadic E (Es) layer’s critical frequency (foEs) and virtual height (h′Es) above Baghdad city (latitude 33.3˚N, longitude 44.4˚E) during Solar Cycle 22 (1988–1995). The analysis examines their correlation with solar activity, represented by sunspot numbers, and geomagnetic disturbances, particularly during the descending phase of the cycle. The findings revealed that foEs values were the highest during the solar maximum years (1989–1991), aligning with increased sunspot numbers and geomagnetic activity due to coronal mas</p> ... Abstract<p>Gold, silver and nickel used as electrodes in the fabrication of perovskite solar cell by using thermal evaporation deposition method with direct structure FTO\ TiO2\ MAPbI3\ spiro-MeOTAD\ metal electrode. The cell efficiency was compared between the electrodes material as a function of time to explaining the effect of these metals electrode on cell performance, X-ray diffraction pattern showed that the samples that contain gold and nickel do not contain a compound indicating the interaction of the metal with the components of the cell or the formation of a new compound, while in the cell containing silver it was found that silver iodide is fo</p> ... A comparative Analytical Investigation of Different Geomagnetic Storms During Solar Cycles 23 and 24
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>In this work, the geomagnetic storms that occurred during solar cycles 23 and 24 were classified based on the value of the Disturbance Storm Time index (Dst), which was considered an indicator of the strength of geomagnetic conditions. The special criterion of Dst >-50 nT was adopted in the classification process of the geomagnetic storms based on the minimum daily value of the Dst-index. The number of geomagnetic storms that occurred during the study period was counted according to the adopted criteria, including moderate storms with (Dst >-50 nT), strong storms with (Dst >-100 nT), severe storms with (Dst >-200 nT), and great storms with (Dst >-350 nT). FTIR Analysis and Characterizations of (SnO2:Ga2O3, CeO2 /Cu2S/c-pSi) Heterojunctions Solar Cells
...Show More Authors

Compounds from tin oxide doped with gallium oxide and cerium oxide were synthesized. Thin films from (SnO2:Ga2O3,CeO2) with different doping ratios were prepared on glass and single crystal silicon as substrates with the use of the pulsed laser deposition technique. The results of FTIR spectrums analysis was presented. Varies heterojunctions were fabricated from (SnO2:Ga2O3,CeO2 /Cu2S/c-pSi) heterojunctions solar cell which are formed from two layers: the first was Cu2S and the second was layer from tin oxide doped with two oxides named gallium oxide and cerium oxide with different doping ratios (0, 0.03, 0.05, and 0.07). The heterojuntion (SnO2:5%Ga2O3 /Cu2S/c-pSi photovoltaic structure exhibits open circuit voltage (Voc

Enhancing Solar Power Forecasting Accuracy Using HMPCS and Machine Learning Techniques: An Applied Study
...Show More Authors

Background Solar irradiance is a nonlinear and intermittent function, which makes accurate forecasting of solar power generation a challenge. The high variability of meteorological conditions is not well represented by conventional atmospheric models, thus hampering forecasting skill and model robustness. In this work, an advanced hybridization of multi-population cuckoo search (HMPCS) algorithm with machine learning (ML) methods is developed to enhance the prediction performance of photovoltaic (PV) power forecasting with more reliability. Methods In this study, a hybrid modeling framework is proposed, called HMPCS–ML framework which captures the global search capacity of HMPCS and predictive power of sophisti

A Comparative Study of Immunohistochemical Expression of Moesin, Cytokeratin 14 andMMP7 in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Oral Verrucous Carcinoma
...Show More Authors

Background: Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the most prevalent malignant neoplasm of the oral cavity that exhibits certain histological variations. Verrucous carcinoma (VC) is an uncommon exophytic low-grade well-differentiated variant of SCC. Cellular differentiation and morphology play important roles in cell functions and maintenance of structural integrity .As the cancer is a malignant process in which disorder of the cell growth and behavior occurs, such changes may differ in different tumor types and within different grades of the same tumor. Materials and Methods:Forty two formalin – fixed, paraffin – embedded tissue blocks were included in this study (30 blocks were diagnosed as OSCC and 12 blocks were diagnosed as OV
