Klebsiella pneumoniae has emerged as one of the eight most essential causes of urinary tract infection (UTI), with increasing resistance to antibiotics, especially carbapenems. About one hundred-eight urine samples were collected from inpatients and outpatients who attended. They were collected at three Baghdad hospitals: two from Karkh (AL-Yarmouk Hospital and Al-karamu Hospital) and one from Rusafa (AL-Baghdad Educational Hospital). A minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) test was done using the Microtiter plate method and demonstrated different resistance levels against meropenem antibiotics. Gene expression of blaOXA-48 and blaVIM-1 genes was performed when treated with meropenem antibiotic using the Real-time PCR technique. The study showed that the highest value of gene expression in the blaOXA-48 gene was recorded for the resistant group was (1.8705), and the lowest value of gene expression in the OXA-48 gene before treated with the meropenem group was (1.0312). The gene expression value in the non-treated group was (0.97) control. In contrast, A slight increase in gene expression value for the blaVIM-1 gene was recorded for the meropenem-treated group (1.8705), and the sensitive group had a gene expression value of (1.00). The lowest value was in the gene expression of the meropenem-treated group (1.0312), as well as an increase in the value of the expression. The genotype of the blaVIM-1gene for the meropenem-treated group (1.828) is based on the 2-ΔCt method for both genes. When using the 2-ΔΔCt method, gene expression differed slightly in both genes. When relying on the 2- ΔΔCt method, both genes' gene expression was slightly different. It was concluded that the coexistence of blaVIM-1 and blaOXA-48 genes in four strains of K. pneumoniae indicated widespread VIM-1 and OXA-48 in Baghdad, Iraq. An increasing trend to use probiotic and study their effects on the pathogens has been conductor where they are defined as live micro-organisms that give a health benefit to the host when ingested in sufficient quantities, including the yeast Saccharomyces boulardii In addition research show that a magnetic field (MF) has a biological effect. This study aims to investigate the effects of magnetic field on the inhibitory action of Saccharomyces boulardii against bacteria isolated from urinary tract infection, Study the sensitivity of bacterial isolates to antibiotics after diagnosis by microscopic, Cultural and biochemical examinations as well as Api20 E examinations were used gram negative bacteria , Most isolates were resistant to an

This research was aimed to study the antibacterial and antibiofilm effect of AgNPs produced by Gram positive and negative bacteria on RTIs associated with K. pneumoniae. Materials and Methods: The biofilm formation of K. pneumoniae was determined by tube method qualitatively from select bacterial species characterized by UV-Visible spectroscopy. The antibacterial susceptibility of the bacteria AgNPs was tested for their antibacterial and antibiofilm activity on a clinical isolate of K. pneumoniae. Results: K. pneumoniae isolated from RTIs were strong biofilm producers. The ant

Result of studying (61) urine samples collected from students department of Biology in the College of Education-Tikrit University and the people who hold signs and symptoms of urinary tract infections with those who do not have any signs or symptoms through a questionnaire has been with the collection of samples, and the total cases were infected (39 ) cases, a rate (63.9%) distributed (28) cases a female (68.2%) and male (11) cases event rate (55%), while the distribution of positive cases among age groups have emerged group (20-22 years) is the highest rate (56%) females. The results of urine cultures accompany the presence of different types of bacteria sick and E.coli bacteria is the highest ratios positive also it is the most comm

A significant body of literature explores the antibacterial activity of the substance and its potential mode of action. Quercetin has shown the capacity to inhibit the growth of several types of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as fungi and viruses.

One hundred forty three of Klebsiellapneumoniae isolates had been collected from some hospitals in Baghdad city. The isolates were taken from different clinical specimens.Antimicrobial susceptibility test was carried out towards fifteen antimicrobial agents by using Vitek2 system with Antimicrobial susceptibility test cards. The results of antibiogram showed that the local isolates were possess highly resistance towards most antimicrobial agents under study. The high resistance wastoAmpicillin while the low resistance was to Imipenem. Two methods were used for detection of Extended Spectrum Beta Lactamases (ESBLs) production; first methods by using of Vitek2 system, thesecondmethods by using of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique to dis

More than 80% of its isolates have shown resistance to routinely used antibiotics in parallel with increased infection rates. The study aimed to determine the molecular typing and genetic relatedness of K. pneumoniae. Therefore, 20 multidrug resistant (MDR) K. pneumoniae already isolated from infected burned wounds in two major hospitals of Al-Kut city east Iraq were subjected to genotyping analysis. The random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD)-based polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique was used along with three oligonucleotide primers (P13, OPX-04, and OPY-01). The amplicons’ patterns of the electrophoresis-gel were analyzed by the
