البحث المشارك في : المؤتمر العلمي الدولي السنوي : التحديات التي تواجه الاسرة في العالم المعاصر يهدف البحث الحالي ما يلي: 1-التعرف على الدعم الاجتماعي لدى طلبة المرحلة المتوسطة (عينة البحث). 2-التعرف إذا كانت هناك فروق دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى دلالة (0.05) على مقياس الدعم الاجتماعي وفق متغير النوع (ذكور-إناث). 3-التعرف إذا كانت هناك فروق دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى دلالة (0.05) على مقياس الدعم الاجتماعي وفق متغير اتجاه المعاملة الوالدية. اشتملت عينة البحث (500) طالب وطالبة، من الصف (الأول-الثاني) فقد اختيرت بطريقة عشوائية طبقية من مديريات الكرخ والرصافة، وقد قامت الباحثة، ببناء مقياس لقياس الدعم الاجتماعي، وتم استخراج الخصائص السايكومترية (التمييز-الصدق-الثبات) للمقياس، وقد استخدمت الباحثة عددا من الوسائل الإحصائية ومنها (الاختبار التائي / لعينة واحدة ولعينتين-معادلة ارتباط بيرسون-اختبار شيفيه). وأظهرت النتائج الآتي: 1-أن طلبة الصف الأول والثاني متوسط يتمتعون بالدعم الاجتماعي. 2-توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0.05) على مقياس الدعم الاجتماعي وفق متغير النوع (ذكور-إناث) ولصالح الذكور. 3-توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0.05) على مقياس الدعم الاجتماعي وفق متغير اتجاه المعاملة الوالدية اتجاه القسوة، اتجاه السواء، اتجاه الإهمال) ولصالح اتجاه السواء.
