Many of the elementary transformations of determinants which are used in their evaluation and in the solution of linear equations may by expressed in the notation of matrices. In this paper, some new interesting formulas of special matrices are introduced and proved that the determinants of these special matrices have the values zero. All formulation has been coded in MATLAB 7.

Phenoxathiin was prepared by the reaction of diphenyl ether with sulfur in the presence of anhydrous aluminum chloride. This work comprised the synthesis of new phenoxathiin derivatives containing heterocyclic moieties. These heterocyclic compounds were synthesized in three groups. The first group was made up of 2-(oxoalken-1-yl) phenoxathiin derivatives (3a-3j) obtained from the reaction of 2-acetylphenoxathiin with different aromatic aldehyde in the presence of sodium hydroxide. The research is aimed at investigating how the New York Times framed the war against ISIS in its news coverage and which news sources it adopted while reporting on this war.
‏ The research could be classified under descriptive researches. The survey methodology has been adopted and the content analysis has been used. The research sample consists of all the news stories the New York Times have published about the war against ISIS from 10/17/2016 to 4/16/2017 according to the comprehensive sampling method. The number of news stories that were analyzed was (155) news story. The research tool was (coding scheme).

Oil recovery could be impacted by the relation between vertical permeability (K_v) and horizontal permeability (K_h) (K_v/K_h). 4816 plugs that have been getting hold of 18 wells of Mishrif formation in the West Qurna oilfield were used. K_v/K_h data provided some scatter, but the mean is ~1. K_v/K_h =1 was used for the Petrel model before upscaling according to the heterogeneity of each layer.
