The research aimed to determine the role of the agricultural extension in educating farmers about the legislation on the protection of the rural environment from pollution with chemical pesticides working in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Training and the Department of Agricultural Extension in the directorates of agriculture of Najaf and Qadisiyah, and to determine the role of the agricultural extension in the axis of farmers' use of the correct methods to protect the rural environment from pollution with chemical pesticides and the axis of the reasons that lead farmers to pollute the rural environment with chemical pesticides, and to achieve the objectives of this research prepared A questionnaire in the light of reviewing the relevant literature, legislation, laws and guidance bulletins, consisting of (72) items distributed on (3) axes, namely, the role of the agricultural extension in educating farmers about the legislation on protecting the rural environment from chemical pesticide pollution, the axis of the role of the agricultural extension in the use of farmers the correct methods to protect the rural environment from pesticide pollution, and the axis of the reasons that lead farmers to pollute the rural environment with pesticides, data were collected during the months of July and August / 20 22 by the questionnaire in a personal interview method from a random sample by (100) by (60) agricultural extension, and the results of the research showed that the rate of the role of the agricultural extension in educating farmers about the legislation on environmental protection, The workers in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Training and the agricultural extension departments in the directorates of agriculture of Najaf and Qadisiyah amounted to (58.9 degrees and that the highest percentage was (60%) and falls within the category of the large role , and the results also showed a large role tends to the average in the axis of farmers' use of the correct methods to protect the rural environment from chemical pesticide pollution by (46.7%), The results showed a medium role tends to weak in the axis of the reasons that lead farmers to pollute the rural environment with chemical pesticides by (45), the researchers recommend the adoption of this study by the Ministries of Agriculture and Health and Environment and the need to pay attention to the issue of protecting the rural environment from pollution with chemical pesticides by expanding the scope of training courses, extension seminars and printing guidance bulletins related to this topic to increase and strengthen the role of agricultural extension workers in this field.
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the most common gastrointestinal malignancy and one of the top ten common cancers worldwide with approximately 2 million cases. There are multiple risk factors that could lead to CRC emergence; of which are genetic polymorphisms. Excision repair cross-complementing group 2 (ERCC2) gene encodes for ERCC2 enzyme which plays a crucial role in maintaining genomic integrity by removing DNA adducts. Several studies suggested that there could be a link between genetic polymorphisms of ERCC2 gene and the risk of CRC development. Hence the present study aims to validate the relationship between the following ERCC2 single nucleotide polymorphisms (rs13181, rs149943175, rs530662943, and rs1799790) and CRC susceptibility. A t

This study centered on the decolorization and biodegradation of water soluble azo dye reactive blue (RB) in a batch mode sequential anaerobic-aerobic processes. A local sewage treatment plant was the source where activated sludge was collected to be used as non-adapted mixed culture with both free and the alginate immobilized cells for RB biodegradation. Under anaerobic conditions, the free and immobilized mixed cells were proved to completely decolorize 10 mg/ L of RB within 20 and 30 h, respectively. Alginate- immobilized mixed cells, resulted in 88%, 87%, and 87% maximum COD removals with samples con

Show MoreIn this article we propose a general Bayesian estimation framework for the Birnbaum-Saunders Quantile Regression (BSQ) model which is used to analyze asymmetric and heterogeneous economic data. In this work, the novel aspect is the joint incorporation of several existing surrogate structures (with different degrees of approximation) and decision-theoretic loss functions (with direct impact on estimation performance trade-offs) under a common BSQ framework conducive to systematic testing of their effect on quantile estimation performance. We consider two previous prior specifications which are Jeffreys prior and weakly informative priors together with three loss functions quadratic, LINEX and the proposed quadratic-logarithmic loss function.

Show MoreEmergency contraceptives (ECs) are indicated for preventing the chance of unintended pregnancy that follows unprotected sexual intercourse in cases of incorrectly used regular contraceptives and in sexual assault. It is considered a safe choice to prevent pregnancy than abortion which is considered life threating. The aim of this study was to assess knowledge, attitude, and practices (KAP) of community pharmacists towards emergency contraceptives and their association with sociodemographic variables. This study was a cross sectional study conducted between August and September 2021 on a convenient sample of community pharmacists from Iraq. The survey tool was an online, self-administered questionnaire, in English language and a paper-bas

Underground (geothermal energy) water used to extract heat from it during cooling and cleaning of PV panels. An experimental test rig was constructed and tested under hot and dusty climate conditions in Baghdad. An active cooling system was used with auxiliary an underground water tank to provide cold water as a coolant over both PV surfaces to reduce its temperature. The cellulose pad has been arranged on the back surface and sprays cooling on the front side. Two identical PV panels modules used: without cooling and evaporative water cooling. The experiments are comprised of four cases: Case (I): backside cooling, Ca

Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy (HAART) consists of two or three Antiretroviral (ARV) drugs and has been used for more than a decade to prolong the life of AIDS-diagnosed patients. The persistent use of HAART is essential for effectively suppressing HIV replication. Frequent use of multiple medications at relatively high dosages is a major reason for patient noncompliance and an obstacle to achieving efficient pharmacological treatment. Despite strict compliance with the HAART regimen, the eradication of HIV from the host remains unattainable. Anatomical and Intracellular viral reservo
