4-Amino-N-(5-methyl-isaxazol-3-yl)-benzenesulfonamide, a new azo (LH) ligand, was synthesized by reacting the diazonium salt of Sulfamethoxazole with coupling compound 3-amino phenol. Spectroscopic techniques (UV-Vis, FTIR, 1H &13C-NMR, and LC-Mass) as well as micro elemental analyses (C.H.N.O) and TGA and SDC were used to identify the azo ligand. Complexes of (Zn(II), Cr(III), Cu(II) and VO(II)) were produced and characterized by atomic absorption, elemental microanalysis, infrared, LC-Mass, TGA, DSC and UV-Vis spectral techniques, as well as conductivity and magnetic quantifications. All the complexes had a 1:2 metal-ligand ratio, and non-electrolytes at all complexes and tetrahedral geometry suggested except Cr-complex, which demonstrated octahedral and VO-complex that demonstrated Square pyramidal. The results of the thermal decomposition indicated the presence of coordinated water molecule for only Cr-complex. The biological activity of some prepared compounds against two types of bacteria and four types of fungi was also studied, suggesting varying inhibition values
Heterogeneous organic compounds play an important role in our daily life as they contribute in many medical and industrial fields and are in continuous development as a result of the preparation of new derivatives with different properties. From this premise, the goal of this work appears, which is preparation of (four, five, six, and seven) membered ring systems derived from furfural, by its reaction with different aromatic aldehydes, and record their antioxidant activity by using free radical scavenging method of DPPH radicals. The new ring systems are synthesized by reacting the prepared Schiff-bases with different ring closure agents (chloroacetyl chloride, mercaptoaceticacid, anthranilic acid, and phthalic anhydride), the prep

Newly five polymers (P1-P5) were synthesized from reaction of pyridine-2, 6-dicarbohydrazide comp (2) with five different di carboxylic acid in the presence of poly phosphoric acid (PPA). The antibacterial activity of the synthesized polymers was screened against some gram positive and gram negative bacteria. Antifungal activity of these polymers was evaluated in vitro against some yeast like fungi such as albicans (candida albicans). Polymers P3, P4 and P5 exhibited highest antibacterial and antifungal against all microorganisms under test.
الوصف A simple chemistry method approach was used to synthesise new ligand derivate from L-ascorbic acid and its complexes. All of them were water-soluble and are used quite extensively in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. This study synthesised the new ligand derivative from L-ascorbic acid-base using the following steps: A 5, 6-O-isopropylidene-L-ascorbic acid was prepared by reacting dry acetone with L-ascorbic acid followed by reacting it with trichloroacetic acid to yield [chloro (carboxylic) methylidene]-5, 6-O-isopropylidene-L-ascorbic acid in the second stage. In the third stage, the derivative was reacted with (methyl (6-methyl-2-pyridylmethyl) amine to create a new ligand (ONMILA). This novel ligand was identified using

New acid (I) converted to its ester (II) via the reaction of (I) with dimethyl sulphate in the present of anhydrous of sodium carbonate and dry acetone. Acid hydrazide (III) has been synthesized by adding 80% of hydrazine hydrate to the new ester using ethanol as a solvent. Show MoreMefenamic acid (MA) is one of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, it is widely used probably due to having both anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity, the main side effects of mefenamic acid include gastrointestinal tract (GIT) disturbance mainly diarrhea, peptic ulceration, and gastric bleeding. The analgesic effects of NSAIDs are probably linked to COX-2 inhibition, while COX-1 inhibition is the major cause of this classic adverse effects. Introduction of thiazolidinone may lead to the increase in the bulkiness leads to the preferential inhibition of COX-2 rather than COX-1 enzyme. The study aimed to synthesize derivatives of mefenamic acid with more potency and to decrease the drug's potential side effects, new series of 4-t

Methods: Cephalexin was linked through the amine group to isatin glycine and bromoisatin glycine Schiff bases by amide bond formation. Results: These derivatives were characterized by FT-IR, H-NMR, elemental CHN analysis and then tested for their antimicrobial activity compared to cephalexin against gram-positive, gram-negative bacteria and Candida albicans fungi. Conclusion: The two compounds showed better activity against Staphylococcus aureus, compound 3b is more active against Escherichia coli, and compound 3a is more active against Klebsiella pneumonia.
