Artificial Intelligence Techniques in the Geographical Analysis of Under-Five Child Mortality in the Central Euphrates Provinces for the Year 2022
...Show More Authors

Abstract This research adopted a novel mixed-method approach combining quantitative analysis and geospatial statistics with artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to evaluate U5MR in the Middle Euphrates provinces of Iraq in 2022. We investigated spatial patterns, socioeconomic determinants and health system factors related to child mortality, Using data from the Iraqi Ministry of Health in 2022. We uncovered significant disparities across the regions, where the highest death rate in Al Diwaniyah province was 33.1 per 1000 and dropped to 16.6 per 1000 live births in al-Muthanna province. An exhaustive statistical analysis brought to the fore the main factors that accounted for such a variation, that is to say population density in rural areas was responsible for a 15% increased risk of maternal levels of education for a 10% reduced risk and Access to health services for a 40% reduced risk). The leading 3 causes of death were first of all respiratory infections (30%), then malnutrition (25%), and finally diarrheal diseases (20%). Most of the differences in death rates at the provincial level are attributed to the availability of health care services, i.e., 65%, in accordance with the study. The other factor that was equally critical, if not more so, was postnatal care visits. Every additional visit was associated with a 5% reduction in the probability of death. We developed predictive models that reached 85% accuracy in pinpointing areas at high risk on the basis of socioeconomic and health indicators by means of artificial intelligence techniques through TensorFlow. Geospatial analysis was conducted with ArcGIS to identify the acute spatial clustering of mortality rates that were in close connection with the distribution of healthcare infrastructure. Thus, providing evidence-based implications for policymakers and clinicians in the region indicates that mortality could be reduced by enhancing accessibility of health services, better education of mothers and availability of some preventive measures.

Multi-classification of autism spectrum disorder behavior for children using explainable artificial intelligence techniques
...Show More Authors

Precise and interpretable classification of autism-related behaviors is important for initial diagnosis, personalized intervention, and support arrangements. This study proposes an interpretable machine learning (ML) model using Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LightGBM) and Categorical Boosting (CatBoost) to classify behavioral patterns into four categories (normal, mild, moderate, and severe) associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) based on a custom 377-instance survey dataset from Iraqi parents and teachers of children aged 6-12. The model observes 16 key features across communication and social interaction, repetitive behaviors, language, and adaptive skills, preprocessed via interquartile range (IQR) outlier removal, me

Analysis of the accounting financial performance of private listed banks in the emerging market for the period 2010–2022
...Show More Authors

This study aims to the little impact of accounting financial performance (AFP) analysis on the money market in the Iraqi economy. Potentially limiting future market activity could be international risks and obstacles, which in turn could cause issues and crises (Shah & Jan, 2014; Bakhtiyarovich, 2020)‏. The study concept was inspired by the recognition that there must be communication between the importance of the AFP analysis of the Iraqi securities market and the country’s financial and economic institutions. The sample of the study included ten Iraqi banks listed in the Iraq Stock Exchange (ISE) for the period 2010–2020. The three mathematical models included in the statistical analysis served as the basis for projectin

Monitoring the land surface temperature for Al-Ahdab oil field in 2022 using R.S and GIS techniques
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>The skin temperature of the earth’s surface is referred to as the Land Surface Temperature (LST). the availability of long-term and high-quality temperature records is important for various uses that affect people’s lives and livelihoods. Much valid information was provided to this research from remote sensing technology by using Landsat 8 (L8) imagery to estimate LST for Al-Ahdab oil field in Wasit city in Iraq. The aim of this research is to analyze LST variations based on Landsat 8 data for 2022 (January, April, July, and October). ArcMap 10.8 was used to estimate LST results. The results values ranged from (about 10 C in January to about 46 C in July). The results show that LS</p> ... Show More

Artificial Intelligence Techniques to Identify Individuals through Palm Image Recognition
...Show More Authors

Artificial intelligence (AI) is entering many fields of life nowadays. One of these fields is biometric authentication. Palm print recognition is considered a fundamental aspect of biometric identification systems due to the inherent stability, reliability, and uniqueness of palm print features, coupled with their non-invasive nature. In this paper, we develop an approach to identify individuals from palm print image recognition using Orange software in which a hybrid of AI methods: Deep Learning (DL) and traditional Machine Learning (ML) methods are used to enhance the overall performance metrics. The system comprises of three stages: pre-processing, feature extraction, and feature classification or matching. The SqueezeNet deep le

Using Artificial Intelligence and Metaverse Techniques to Reduce Earning Management
...Show More Authors

This study aims to demonstrate the role of artificial intelligence and metaverse techniques, mainly logistical Regression, in reducing earnings management in Iraqi private banks. Synthetic intelligence approaches have shown the capability to detect irregularities in financial statements and mitigate the practice of earnings management. In contrast, many privately owned banks in Iraq historically relied on manual processes involving pen and paper for recording and posting financial information in their accounting records. However, the banking sector in Iraq has undergone technological advancements, leading to the Automation of most banking operations. Conventional audit techniques have become outdated due to factors such as the accuracy of d

Spatial Analysis of the Pollution of the Euphrates River Water in the Abu Ghraib District
...Show More Authors

The research investigates the physical characteristics of the Euphrates River water in the Abu Ghraib district, where the river flows southwest, demarcating it from Anbar Governorate. Geographically, the area lies between latitudes 33°8'40" - 33°15'23" N and longitudes 43°50'21" - 44°1'24" E. The study is based on fieldwork and laboratory analyses aimed at detecting pollution by analysing four physical parameters during summer and winter. These physical properties include water temperature, turbidity, dissolved solids, and electrical conductivity. To elucidate pollution levels, the study area was divided into ten sites along the river. By examining pollution indicators through samples taken from these sites and comparing them to
