Lévy processes are powerful tools for representing phenomena with continuous trends with abrupt changes. The proposed approach is validated through a simulated biological case study on animal migration in which movements are modeled as Lévy flights with long-range jumps and directionally biased drift. This scenario depicts real-world stochastic behaviors in the spatial dynamics of a species. The results demonstrate the power of the B-spline method in its capability to accommodate complex stochastic behaviors with low mean squared error (MSE). To demonstrate its relevance in an actual financial context, the model is applied to forecast trends in Iraqi ATM usage based on data collected between the years 2008 and 2021. The results indicate a uniform growth in demand, supported by forecasts for the years 2022 and 2023, confirming the model’s predictive accuracy. Overall, the research identifies the B-spline transform as a robust method for parameter estimation in Lévy-based models with potential applications in finance, ecology, and biomathematics.

Determining risk indicators for dental implants is an essential strategy for preventing peri-implant diseases and effective diagnosis of dental implant success. To investigate the impact of certain potential factors on the osseointegrated dental implant. Eighty-four individuals were included in our study, 50 cases as a patient’s group and 34 participants as a control group. All cases were diagnosed based on certain criteria, 30 (60%) of patients had peri-implantitis, 20 (40%) with severe periimplantitis, 36(72%) were generalized, and 15 (30%) as localized peri-implantitis cases. There is a theoretical controversy in the books of Usul al-Fiqh, in the past and the present, about whether the ruling should be attached to its reason (al-Hikmah), or its apparent and stable cause (al-Illah). Looking at the practical cases of the jurists, we found them sometimes attaching rulings to its reason, and sometimes to its cause, so there is a need to know the factors that affect their choices. By extrapolation, the researcher reached at nine factors that affect referring the ruling to its cause or to its reason in jurisprudential cases.
