Coumarin is a natural substance isolated from different plants. It belonges to a group of benzobyrones which consists of a benzene ring joined to a pyrone nucleus. In the present research, a new series of coumarin derivatives were formed. Compound (1) (7-hydroxy-4-methyl Coumarin) was converted into 4-methylquinolin-2(H) derivative (2) by reaction with acetamide, and then reaction of (2) with thiosemicarbazide in ethanol leads to the synthesize of hydrazincarbothioamide derivative (3).The reaction of (3) with ethylchloroacetate in presence of sodium acetate leads to closure ring to get [(1-(5-oxo-2-thioxoimidazolidin-1-ylimino) ethyl)]quinolin-2(1H)-one (4). Five Saccharomyces cerevisiae isolated from the ability of chitinase production from the isolates were studied. Quantitative screening appeared that Saccharomyces cerevisiae S4 was the highest chitinase producer specific activity 1.9 unit/mg protein. The yeast was culture in liquid and solid state fermentation media (SSF). Different plant obstanases were used for (SSF) with the chitine, while liquid media contained chitine with the diffrented nitrogen source. The favorable condition for chitinase producers were incubated at 30 ºC at pH 6 and 1% colloidal chitine.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine disorder. To determine the metabolic disorders in women with PCOS, (25) women with PCOS ages (15 - 47) years have been investigated and compared with (20) healthy individuals. All the studied groups were carried out to measure fasting blood sugar, (anti-GAD Ab, anti β-islet cell Ab by IFAT) and measured insulin level by ELISA. There was significant elevation in the concentration of fasting blood sugar than in control groups (p ≤ 0.05) and there was negative results for anti-GAD Ab and anti β-islet cell Ab by IFAT test for serum of women with PCOS, while there was significant differences in the insulin level for women with PCOS compared with control groups (p ≤ 0.05),

Two series of Schiff Bases [VI]n and thiazolidin-4-one derivatives[VII]n were synthesized by many steps starting from cyclization of 4- hydroxyacetophenon with thiourea in iodine to yield 1,3-thiazole compound which was reacted with pentoxy bromide in anhydrous potassium carbonate to converted compound[II] and this reacted with Phenol to yield azo compound[III]. The azo compound reacted with ethyl chloro acetate in basic medium to get a new easter compound[IV] which is converted to their acid hydrazid[V]. The later compound condensation with n-alkoxy benzaldehyde to give new Schiff bases[VI]n . This investigation showed (31) species belonging to (15) genera under (five) families and two orders. The leafminers Dipter families (Agromozidae, Anthomyiidae, Drosophilidae), Agromyzid flies is the highest level of investigated many host plants, but other families have lowest host plants.
