Abstract The main purpose of the research is to clarify and investigate in details about Susan Glaspell’s role in shedding light on the predicament of women in American society in the early twentieth century showing how sense of the place played an important role in limiting the opportunities of female protagonists who try to escape the roles imposed upon them by society. Glaspell lived in the early twentieth century in the Midwest and tackled the important issues like: women's suffrage, birth control, socialism, union organizing when women were not able to vote or sit as a member on juries. Her Feminist cause is quite obvious through her works from her first one act play Suppressed Desire to the final three act play, Alison’s House. The paper analyses Glaspell's Trifle (1916) from the perspectives of regionalism that defined the American literature of the era its effect on gender .Thus, shedding light on Suzan Glaspell as a feminist and a regionalist who recorded an important period of American history. The paper tries to show how Glaspell who was a regionalist, local colorist and a realist succeeded to deal with issues of social justice and how she used literature as a weapon to fight the ills of society as an adherent believer in school of "art for the sake of life".
In The Bluest Eye (1970) , Toni Morrison addresses a timeless problem of white racial dominance in the United States and points to the impact it has on the life of black females growing up in the 1930's. Morrison in this novel explores how Western standards of ideal beauty are created and propagated with and among the black community. This paper presents an intelligent model reference adaptive control (MRAC) utilizing a self-recurrent wavelet neural network (SRWNN) to control nonlinear systems. The proposed SRWNN is an improved version of a previously reported wavelet neural network (WNN). Linguistic taboos exist in most cultures. Tabooed words are generally being culturespecific
and relating to bodily functions or aspects of a culture that are sacred. Such words are
avoided, considered inappropriate and loaded with affective meaning and failing to adhere to.
Strict rules, often, governing their use and lead to punishment or public shame. These taboo
words can be used as a way of violating social deixis represented by four types of honorifics;
addressee, referent, bystander, and finally setting honorifics. This paper shows how these

Harold Pinter often portrays the dilemma of obliterated figures that are incapable of feeling of their own existences. These figures feel exhausted and frustrated in a world that deprives them their humanity. They retreat into a limited world where they look for security and protection. ... Show MoreThis paper introduces a relationship between the independence of polynomials associated with the links of the network, and the Jacobian determinant of these polynomials. Also, it presents a way to simplify a given communication network through an algorithm that splits the network into subnets and reintegrates them into a network that is a general representation or model of the studied network. This model is also represented through a combination of polynomial equations and uses Groebner bases to reach a new simplified network equivalent to the given network, which may make studying the ability to solve the problem of network coding less expensive and much easier.
