Utilizing the Potential of Polyvinylidene Fluoride in Developing Durable Superhydrophobic and Antibacterial Nanocomposite Coatings for Oil/Water Separation
...Show More Authors
ABSTRACT<p> The increasing demand for durable and multifunctional separation materials necessitates polymer‐based coatings that combine mechanical robustness with high selectivity. This study aims to develop antibacterial oil/water separation systems that effectively address challenges posed by microorganisms, which can decrease filter effectiveness and impact overall separation efficiency. Metal meshes were coated with titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ), octadecanethiol (ODT), and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) via spray coating using four formulations: TiO 2 , PVDF, TiO 2 /ODT, and TiO 2 /ODT/PVDF. PVDF‐containing coatings exhibited superior superhydrophobicity, with a water contact angle of 161° and a sliding angle of 3°, attributed to the dense nano‐roughened texture formed upon drying. The ODT contributed to uniform surface coverage, while PVDF imparted excellent adhesion and mechanical durability, maintaining self‐cleaning performance after 50 abrasion cycles. The TiO 2 /ODT/PVDF formulation demonstrated the highest oil/water separation efficiency and improved oil flux, highlighting the critical contribution of the polymer–nanoparticle interface. Moreover, the nanocomposite coating exhibited pronounced antibacterial activity against <styled-content style="fixed-case">S</styled-content> taphylococcus <styled-content style="fixed-case">aureus</styled-content> (98.7%) and <styled-content style="fixed-case"> Escherichia coli </styled-content> (99.2%). These findings underline the potential of polymer‐based nanocomposite coatings as scalable and multifunctional materials for advanced oil/water separation technologies. </p>

Designing and Standardizing two Dribbling Tests for the Initial selection of Individuals With Simple Mental Disabilities In Futsal
...Show More Authors

The game of football is one of the most popular games in the world because of its beauty in the hearts of its fans. From this position, the game of five football for people with simple mental disability has become as much attention to many other sporting events, so the researchers believe that the tests of basic skills match the level of individuals tested In terms of their age and mental ability, the technical aspects were adopted as a means of selecting those who are qualified to practice this game in the simplest form, so the importance of the research problem in designing and standardizing two dribbling skating tests for members of this category and It depends by training their cadres during the selection process. The research community

The research, whose goal was to study students' failure in secondary school in Iraq, found that 50% of the Iraqi governorates achieved the lowest student failure rates, and Baghdad governorate had the highest percentage of repeaters. And that half of the provinces in Iraq have males constitute 70% of the repeaters, and failure in the exam represented 79.7% of the reasons for failure, and that half of the students who failed are confined to the first and third intermediate grades at a rate of 51.9% , and the research revealed that the security instability was the most influential factor in Students fai

Indirect Spectrofluorometric Method for the Determination of Cefotaxime Sodium, Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride and Famotidine in Pharmaceuticals Using Bromate-Bromide and Acriflavine Dye
...Show More Authors

An Indirect simple sensitive and applicable spectrofluorometric method has been developed for the determination of Cefotaxime Sodium (CEF), ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride (CIP) and Famotidine (FAM) using reaction system bromate-bromide and acriflavine (AF) as fluorescent dye. The method is based on the oxidation of drugs with known excess bromate-bromide mixture in acidic medium and subsequent determination of unreacted oxidant by quenching fluorescence of AF. Fluorescence intensity of residual AF was measured at 528 nm after excitation at 402 nm. The fluorescence-concentration plots were rectilinear over the ranges 0.1-3.0, 0.05-2.6 and 0.1-3.8 µg ml-1 with lower detection limits of 0.013, 0.018 and 0.021 µg ml-1 an
