Two common iron oxide-bearing wastes—a drinking water treatment residual and a passive mine water treatment sludge (MWTS)—were utilised with and without modification as media in microcosm experiments to treat artificial benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene (BTEX)-contaminated wastewater. The major aim of this work is to propose a novel method, the Variation Iteration Adomain Decomposition Method (VIADM), an iterative semi-analytical method to achieve an approximate analytical solution for nonlinear (Volterra / Fredholm) integral equations. This technique depends on applying the Adomain Decomposition Method (ADM) to a nonlinear term that can be solved using Adomain polynomials. The VIADM has been used to break down the Volterra integral equation solution into infinite components. Furthermore, some illustrative examples are given, and the results obtained indicate the proposed method’s accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.

In this study, the construction of axial load-bending moment interaction diagrams for a reinforced concrete column and a steel jacket column has been presented. For a reinforced concrete column strengthened with a steel jacket consist of vertical steel sections connected by horizontal steel plates (battens), the axial load-bending moment interaction diagrams have been constructed using two analytical methods: strain compatibility method and plastic stress distribution method. In the strain compatibility method, the effects of position of the neutral axis on the stress of concrete, reinforcing bars, and steel section have been taken into consideration. The results showed that the 60/40 (HDPE/LDPE) blend exhibited superior mechanical performance, including tensile strength, impact resistance, and hardness, while the 80/20 blend demonstrated higher thermal stability and morphological uniformity. The results obtained demonstrate the potential for using HDPE/LDPE blends in many areas, including packaging, insulation, and engineering products that require a balance between durability and thermal stability. An electrochemical sensor based on an amino-functionalized iron NH2-MIL-101(Fe) metal-organic framework (MOF)/Pd nanoparticles (NPs) composite-modified screen-printed elec­trode (SPE) is prepared for the simultaneous determination of norepinephrine (NEPI) and acetaminophen (ACP). The NH2-MIL-101(Fe) MOF/Pd NPs/SPE electrochemical sensor shows a significant enhancement in the response peak current of NEPI, as compared to bare SPE. This suggests that the unique features of NH2-MIL-101(Fe) MOF/Pd NPs composite-mo­di­fied SPE improve the electro­catalytic oxidation of NEPI.
