This study describes the preparation of a new bidentate Schiff base derived from the condensation of Isatin-3-hydrazone with 2-acetylthiophene and the preparation of new series of complexes with a good yield. The prepared ligand was characterized by IR, UV-Vis, C.H.N.S elemental analysis, 1H and 13C NMR, LC-Mass spectroscopy, and physical measurements. Its complexes were analyzed by C.H.N.S elemental analyses, UV-Vis., FTIR, NMR, LC-Mass Spectra, atomic absorption spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility, and conductivity measurements The results from spectroscopy and measurement studies showed that the ligand coordinated to the metal ion as a bidentate ligand via oxygen and nitrogen, forming an octahedral geometry around it. In vitro antimicrobial activity of the prepared compounds was tested against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonia, Bacillus bacteria strains, and Candida fungi by the agar well diffusion method. The ligand and its complexes have a good effect on the studied microorganisms' Gram-positive and Gram-negative strains and fungi.
An attempt was made to determine the insect parasites of cockroaches in Iraq. As a result of this survey three species of Hymenoptera representing two separate families, which have been reared from ootheca of cockroaches were recovered. These were: Evania dimidiata Fabricius, Evania appendigaster (Linnaeus) (Evaniidae) and Anastatus longicornis sp. n. (Eupelmidae) which described here as a new species from Iraq.

The current study was designed to evaluate the anti-inflammatory effect of GKB in the rat model of granulomatous inflammation. The present study introduces description of new species of leafhopper Cicadella latreilla nov. External morphological characters particularly female genitalia were discussed and illustrated, shape of male abdominal apodeme, chaetotaxy of genital style and genital plate of male genitalia, shape of Aedeagus and connective . The external morphological characters were: spotting patterns of vertex, face, pronotum of prothorax, and metothorax, and of lower and upper valves of ovipositors,shape of female seventh abdominasternum.
Foot and ankle movements are essential in various activities like walking, running, and balance, where the mechanics of these movements are affected by the muscles around the ankle joint [1,2]. In this study, the correlations between isometric ankle torque and muscle activity of the tibialis anterior (TA) and gastrocnemius (GAS) in the course of dorsiflexion and plantarflexion was investigated.
