The current study was to examine the reliability and effectiveness of using most abundant, inexpensive waste in the form of scrap raw zero valent aluminum ZVAI and zero valent iron ZVI for the capture, retard, and removal of one of the most serious and hazardous heavy metals cadmium dissolved in water. Batch tests were conducted to examine contact time (0-250) min, sorbent dose (0.25-1 g ZVAI/100 mL and 2-8 g ZVI/100 mL), initial pH (3-6), pollutant concentration of 50mg/L initially, and speed of agitation (0-250) rpm . Maximum contaminant removal efficiency corresponding to (90 %) for cadmium at 250 min contact time, 1g ZVAI/ 6g ZVI sorbent mass ratio, pH 5.5, pollutant concentration of 50 mg/L initially, and 250 rpm agitation speed wer

Herein, a biocomposite of crosslinked chitosan polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether (CS-PEDGE), montmorillonite (MMT), and foodgrade algae (FGA) was successfully prepared by a hydrothermal technique. The resulting absorbent (CS-PEDGE/FGA/MMT) was assessed for its adsorption property with methyl violet 2B (MV 2B) a toxic cationic dye. The physicochemical properties of CS-EDGE/ FGA/MMT were assessed via various analytical techniques, including BET, Elemental analysis, pHpzc, and spectroscopy (FTIR, XRD, SEM-EDX). The influence of three adsorption variables, namely adsorbent dose (A: 0.02–0.1 g/100 mL), solution pH (B: 4–10), and contact time (C: 10–420 min) on the rate of MV 2B dye removal was examined using the Box-Behnken design (RSM-

The biochemical analysis of the partially purified EPS revealed that it was an alginate. analysis of EPS by Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR) show that the -OH groups present in bioflocculant are clearly seen at 3433.06 cm-1, the peaks attributed to the -CH3 groups present at 2916.17 cm-1 , and some distinct peaks such as carboxyl group showed strong absorption bands at 1604.66 cm-1, 1411.80 cm-1 and 1303.79 cm-1 indicate the chemical structure of alginate. The thiosemicarbazone was prepared by the reaction of thiosemicarbazide with aldehyde derivative from L-ascorbic acid in absolute ethanol using glacial acetic acid as a catalyst. 1, 3-thiazolidin-4-ones were synthesized from the condensation of thiosemicarbazones with chloroacetic acid in presence of anhydrous sodium acetate. A 1, 3- thiazolidine-4-one was reaction with several 4-substitutedaldehydes to produce new derivatives with a double bond at the position-5 of the 4-thiazolidinone ring. While the tetrazole compounds were synthesized by 1, 3-cycloaddition reaction of sodium azide and hydrazone compounds in

The compounds identified by 1H and 13C-NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis, mass spectroscopy, as well as TGA, DSC, and C.H.N., conductivity, magnetic susceptibility, metal and chlorine content. The results showed that the ligand behaves in a bidantate, and that the complexes gave octahedral, excepting for VO+2 square pyramid was given, that all complexes are non-electrolytes. The effectiveness of mention the compounds in inhibiting free radicals was evaluated by the ability to act as an antioxidant was measured using DPPH as a free radical and gallic acid as a standard s
