Effective Computational Methods for Solving the Jeffery-Hamel Flow Problem

في هذا البحث، تم تنفيذ الطريقة الحسابية الفعالة (ECM) المستندة إلى متعددة الحدود القياسية الأحادية لحل مشكلة تدفق جيفري-هامل غير الخطية. علاوة على ذلك، تم تطوير واقتراح الطرق الحسابية الفعالة الجديدة في هذه الدراسة من خلال وظائف أساسية مناسبة وهي متعددات الحدود تشيبشيف، بيرنشتاين، ليجندر، هيرمت. يؤدي استخدام الدوال الأساسية إلى تحويل المسألة غير الخطية إلى نظام جبري غير خطي من المعادلات، والذي يتم حله بعد ذلك باستخدام برنامج ماثماتيكا®١٢. تم تطبيق تطوير طرق حسابية فعالة (D-ECM) لحل مشكلة تدفق جيفري-هامل غير الخطية، ثم تم عرض مقارنة بين الطرق. علاوة على ذلك، تم حساب الحد الأقصى للخطأ المتبقي ( )، لإظهار موثوقية الطرق المقترحة. تثبت النتائج بشكل مقنع أن ECM و D-ECM دقيقة وفعالة وموثوقة للحصول على حلول تقريبية للمشكلة.

In the recent years there was a great drop in the water levels of Tigris River within Baghdad City which had affected the operation of twelve water supply projects located on the banks of Tigris River in Baghdad City, due to significant climate changes, and the expansion of hydraulic construction (dams) and implementation of new irrigation projects in Turkey, these factors have greatly reduced the water flowrates of river by about 46%. Psychological Flow and Its Relation to Futuristic Thinking among Postgraduates

The research seeks to find the relationship between psychological flow and futuristic thinking among postgraduate students. To this end, the researchers have made up two scales: one scale to measure the psychological flow which consisted of (32) items and the other to measure the futuristic thinking included (39) items which were distributed into three domains. As to collect the required data, the two scales had applied on a sample comprised (200) postgraduate students. The findings revealed that there is a correlation between psychological flow and futuristic thinking. The researcher recommended the coming studies take the relationship between psychological flow and psychological happiness.

Numerical Simulation of flow in pipe with cross jet effects

A numerical method is developed to obtain two-dimensional velocity and pressure distribution through a cylindrical pipe with cross jet flows. The method is based on solving partial differential equations for the conservation of mass and momentum by finite difference method to convert them into algebraic equations. This well-known problem is used to introduce the basic concepts of CFD including: the finite- difference mesh, the discrete nature of the numerical solution, and the dependence of the result on the mesh refinement. In this research, the problem of multi- objective modal transport was formulated with mixed constraints to find the optimal solution. The foggy approach of the Multi-objective Transfer Model (MOTP) was applied. There are three objectives to reduce costs to the minimum cost of transportation, administrative cost and cost of the goods. The linear membership function, the Exponential membership function, and the Hyperbolic membership function. Where the proposed model was used in the General Company for the manufacture of grain to reduce the cost of transport to the minimum and to find the best plan to transfer the product according to the restrictions imposed on the model.
