A field study aimed at identifying the reality of the application of strategic management in the colleges of education/ University of Baghdad. The research adopted the descriptive analytical approach. The research community, consisting of 801 faculty teachers, has been identified. The research sample was selected in a simple random way and represented 15% of the research community, totalling 124 teaching members. A questionnaire was constructed that included (46) items divided between areas (strategic objectives, strategy planning and formulation, implementation of the strategy, and evaluation of the strategy). The honesty and consistency of the tool was verified. The researcher analyzed the research data using SPSS. The most important results were: the overall rate of these four areas was a weighted average (2.48) and a percentage weight (82.666%), which is a sound result as regards the application of strategic management in the colleges of education/University of Baghdad, the development of an integrated strategy for strategic management and its applications, a review of the organizational structure in accordance with the college’s strategy. A number of recommendations and proposals related to research were given.

Show MoreIn the present work, a set of indoor Radon concentration measurements was carried out in a number of rooms and buildings of Science College in the University of Mustansiriyah for the first time in Iraq using RAD-7 detector which is an active method for short time measuring compared with the passive method in solid state nuclear track detectors (SSNTD's). The results show that, the Radon concentrations values vary from 9.85±1.7 Bq.m-3 to 94.21±34.7 Bq.m-3 with an average value 53.64±26 Bq.m-3 which is lower than the recommended action level 200-300 Bq/m3 [ICRP, 2009].

In this paper, we will focus to one of the recent applications of PU-algebras in the coding theory, namely the construction of codes by soft sets PU-valued functions. First, we shall introduce the notion of soft sets PU-valued functions on PU-algebra and investigate some of its related properties.Moreover, the codes generated by a soft sets PU-valued function are constructed and several examples are given. A rapid, simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace amounts of chromium is studied. The method is based on the interaction of chromium with indigo carmine dye in acidic medium and the presence of oxalates as a catalyst for interaction, and after studying the absorption spectrum of the solution resulting observed decrease in the intensity of the absorption. Infection at the site of vascular anastomosis is a serious complication of vascular surgery and is associated with a high limb loss and mortality rate. The classical method of management is ligation of the injured artery, adequate wound debridement and restoration of circulation. The latter is achieved by either in situ or extra-anatomic bypass. If the distal circulation is not maintained, subsequent amputation is most likely.
