Preparation, spectroscopic study of Schiff base derived from dopamine and metal Ni(II), Pd(II), and Pt(IV) complexes, and activity determination as antioxidants
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>A new Schiff base (HL2) ligand (4‐{2‐[(2‐hydroxy‐benzylidene)‐amino]‐ethyl}‐benzene‐1,2‐diol) has been synthesized by condensing of 4‐(2‐amino‐ethyl)‐benzene‐1,2‐diol and 2‐hydroxy‐benzaldehyde. In turn, its transition metal complexes were prepared, having the following general formulas: Ni(L2)2, Pd(L2)2, and Pt(L2)22Cl. The prepared ligand and its metal complexes Ni(II), Pd(II), and Pt(IV) have been characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra, proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H‐NMR) elemental analysis, metal content, chloride content, molar conductance, ultraviolet–visible (UV–Vis) spectra, magnetic susceptibility, mass spectrometry (MS) spectra, and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The consequences proposed that Schiff base acts like a bidentate ligand for all the prepared complexes. The antioxidant performance of as‐prepared compounds was inspected using the DPPH radical scavenging method. The compounds showed antioxidant activities of scavenging free radicals.</p>

Synthesis of New Substituted Coumarin Derivatives containing Schiff-Base as Potential Antimicrobial and Antioxidant Agents
...Show More Authors

By unusual method for separating two isomers of a substituted nitro-coumarin using a soxhlet extractor and in controlling temperature to get a selective nitration reaction, several new Schiff base coumarins were synthesized from nitro coumarins as starting material, which were reduced by Fe in glacial acetic acid to produce corresponding amino coumarin derivatives. Then the latter was reacted with different aromatic aldehydes to produce the desired Schiff bases derivatives. After characterization by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), Proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1HNMR) and Carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance (C-NMR), all these compounds were evaluated as potential Antimicrobial and Antioxidant Agents.

A study of the effect of new cobalt (II) complex and cyclophosphamide drug on (GPT, ALP) activity by using in vivo system
...Show More Authors

The present work involved a study the effect of cobalt(II) complex with formula [CoL(H2O)NO3] .4ETOH where L=Nitro [5-(P-nitro phenyl) -4-phenyl-1,2,4 traizole-3-dithiocarbamato hydrazide] aqua. (4) Ethanol and anti-cancer drug - cyclophosphamide on specific activity of two liver enzymes (GPT,ALP) by utilizing an in vivo system in female mice. On the enzymatic level an inhibition in the activity of GPT was noticed in different body organs such as liver, kidney and lung. The inhibition was noticed in both test and cyclophosphamide drug (cp). Mice were treated with three doses of cyclophosphamide (90,180, 250) ?g/ mouse for three days. The same doses were used for the cobalt (II) complex. The liver shows the highest rate of(GPT) inhibition co

Synthesis and Characterization with Antimicrobial Studies of mixed Curcumin Schiff Base–L-dopa with Divalent Cations Complexes
...Show More Authors

In the present article, mixed ligand metal (II) complexes have been synthesized with Schiff base (1E, 5Z, 6E)-1,7 bis (4-hydroxy-3- methoxyphenyl)-5-(3-hydroxyphenyl) imino) hepta-1,6-dien-3-one derived from Curcumin and 3-aminophenol as primary ligand and L-dopa as a secondary ligand. The Schiff base act as bidentate and arrange to the metals through the azomethine (C=N) nitrogen and (C=O) oxygen atom. The mode of bonding of the Schiff base has been affirmed on the infrared by the UV-Visible, 1H, and 13C NMR spectroscopic techniques. The magnetic susceptibility and the UV-Vis data of the complexes propose octahedral geometry around the central metal ion. The information appears that the complexes have the structure of [L-M-(L-dopa)] system

Cu(II) Complex of a Novel Azo Derivative from Vanillin : Synthesis, Characterization, Dyeing, Corrosion Inhibition, Anticancer Activity, DFT, Molecular Docking and ADME Studies
...Show More Authors

In the ongoing series of our research, we prepared a new multifunctional azo-vanillin ligand (HL) and its Cu(II) complex to investigate their potential as versatile compounds for industrial/pharmaceutical purposes. Structural integrity was determined through spectroscopic analyses (FT-IR, NMR, Mass and UV-Vis), highlighting a distorted square planar geometry for the metal complex. The ligand was examined for its dyeing potential on wool and cotton with the latter showing better substantivity to cellulosic fibers and behaving as a good direct dye having excellent washing fastness. Furthermore, leveraging its surface-active properties, the ligand was tested as a green corrosion inhibitor for C-45 steel in a saline medium (3.5% NaCl) acr

A Study on Using Molasses Production Waste Powder as a Green Adsorbent for Cu (II) Ions from its Aqueous Solution
...Show More Authors

This study utilized low-cost agricultural waste (molasses production waste powder) to extract copper ions from aqueous solutions. The present investigation explored a range of factors that influence the adsorption process, including temperature, pH, ionic strength, contact time, quantity of adsorbent, and particle size. Spectrophotometric analysis was used to determine the solution's absorbance both before and after the adsorption procedure. The Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption models were used to match the equilibrium data. The Freundlich model was determined to be the best isotherm model using the linear regression coefficient R2=0.9868. Thermodynamic parameters, including enthalpy, entropy, and Gibbs free energy, were calculate

Synthesis, Characterization and Biological Activity of heterocyclic compounds derived from Amoxcilline drug.
...Show More Authors

A first step in this research was to synthesize Schiff's bases(1-3)using an Amoxcilline intensification reaction with different aromatic aldehydes in absolute ethanol. In benzene and refluxing conditions,Schiff's bases were cyclized with succinic and Phthalic anhydride to give a new sequence of 1,3-oxazepine derivatives(4-6) and (7-9),respectively.The last step, cyclization reactions with sodium azide in THF solvent resulted in the formation of [10 and 11], which are supposed to be biologically significant.FT.IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR (for compound 4,7,9, and 11),as well as melting points reported, were used to characterize these prepared compounds ,Bacillus (G+), Staphylococcus (G+), and E.Coli (G-)were screened against these compounds. . Background: The world is in front of two emerging problems being scarceness of virgin re-sources for bioactive materials and the gathering of waste production. Employment of the surplus waste in the mainstream production can resolve these problems. The current study aimed to prepare and characterize a natural composite CaO-SiO2 based bioactive material derived from naturally sustained raw materials. Then deposit this innovative novel bioactive coating composite materials overlying Yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia substrate. Mate-rials and method; Hen eggshell-derived calcium carbonate and rice husk-derived silica were extracted from natural resources to prepare the composite coating material. The manufac-tured powder was characterized
