The research aims to develop physical exercises with auxiliary training tools that work to develop the explosive power of the arms and legs, and then find out their effect on the accuracy of shooting from free throw and correction from jumping of advanced basketball players, as the researchers found a problem that these players have weakness in the skill of throwing Free throwing and shooting by jumping calculated with two points as a result of adopting unhealthy physical and technical positions, which led to a lack of focus and accuracy, and thus negatively affected the performance technique of free throw and jump shot, as most teams use traditional exercises without the use of auxiliary training tools, and this topic gave researchers the perception of a need for Study and research to prepare exercises with training aids in a manner similar to the form of performing a skill. It works to increase the percentage of shooting accuracy from the free throw and the correction from the jump by giving it a greater role in the training process. The researchers used the experimental approach with the design of the one experimental group and the two pre and posttests to suit the nature of the research, and the research sample was represented by the players of the Sports Club in basketball for the applicants and their number (12) players representing (20%) of the original community, and after applying the exercises to the research sample , it emerged that there are A positive effect of physical exercises using training tools to assist in developing the accuracy of correction from free throw and correction from jumping, and the results of the study found that the more physical exercises are close to the shape of skill performance with the gradual increase in strength and the maintenance of the speed factor, this led to its development better and faster With regard to the physical aspect, the skills of the free throw and the correction by the two-point jump , the researchers recommend the need to gradually give the resistors according to the movement path for shooting basketball while preserving the speed factor in performance, and the use of physical exercises that are similar to the way they perform basic movements with basketball as much as possible.
The aim of this paper is to present the first record of ctenophore species Pleurobrachia pileus (O. F. Müller, 1776) in the coral reef as was recently found in Iraqi marine waters. The specimens were collected from two sites, the first was in Khor Abdullah during May 2015, and the second site was located in the pelagic water of the coral reef area, near the Al-Basrah deep sea crude oil marine loading terminal. Three samples were collected at this site during May 2015, February and March 2018 which showed that P. pileus were present at a densities of 3.0, 2.2 and 0.55 ind./ m3 respectively. A simple straightforward mathematical method has been developed to cluster grid nodes on a boundary segment of an arbitrary geometry that can be fitted by a relevant polynomial. The method of solution is accomplished in two steps. At the first step, the length of the boundary segment is evaluated by using the mean value theorem, then grids are clustered as desired, using relevant linear clustering functions. At the second step, as the coordinates cell nodes have been computed and the incremental distance between each two nodes has been evaluated, the original coordinate of each node is then computed utilizing the same fitted polynomial with the mean value theorem but reversibly.

Show MoreThe Red Palm Weevil (RPW), Rhynchophorus ferrugineus (Olivier, 1790) is a devastating invasive pest of palm trees, invading the Iraqi date palm tree in 2015 for the first time in Safwan county, Basrah province. The Red Palm weevil has been categorized as a quarantine pest of date palm trees worldwide. In this study, a five years monitoring program has been achieved by scouting the invasive pest RPW population in Safwan county by using visual sampling and Pheromone baited traps.
The results indicated that the number of infested palms, increased from 12 trees in 2015 to 111 in 16 orchards in 2016. The number of the infested palms was minimized to 3 trees in the county in 2019 due to the management protocol of the Ministry of Agriculture

Spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of copper(II) ion. Synthesized (2,2[O-Tolidine-4,4-bis azo]bis[4,5-diphenyl imidazole]) (MBBAI) was used as chromogenic reagent at pH=5. Various factors affecting complex formation, such as, pH effect, reagent concentration, time effect and temperature effect, have been considered and studied. Under optimum conditions concentration ranged from (5.00-80.00) µg/mL of copper(II) obeyed Beer`s Low. Maximum absorption of the complex was 409nm with molar absorpitivity 0.127x104 L mol-1 cm-1. Limit of detection(LOD) and Limit of quantification were 1.924 and 6.42 μg/mL, respectively.

A simple, low cost and rapid flow injection turbidimetric method was developed and validated for mebeverine hydrochloride (MBH) determination in pharmaceutical preparations. From different hospitals in Baghdad city, 25 clinical isolates of Proteus spp. were collected from different clinical samples, all isolates were identified as Proteus mirabilis by using bacteriological and biochemical assays in addition to Vitek-2 identification system. 15 (60%) isolates were identifying as Proteus mirabilis.
