This project presents an enhanced Iraqi vehicle plate identification system, incorporating digital processing technologies and the XOR Auto-Associative Memory advanced associative memory algorithm, towards a fast and efficient performance under diverse conditions of imagery. The system consists of three major stages: identification of the panel area, or localization, using edge transformations and morphological operations; symbol segmentation, or segmentation, based on horizontal and vertical projections for the exact extraction of numbers and letters; and finally, recognition use of XOR operations and a binary distance criterion known as Hamming Distance. The model was tested on 420 images of panels in different scenarios of lighting: day, night, shadows, fog, and low light. It produced an accuracy of 98.10% in identifying the panel area and 98.14% in segmenting symbols, while the XOR algorithm gave the best result in recognizing 2,958 symbols with an accuracy of 99.93% in 2.4 ms per symbol. Another contribution of this system is that it has proven to be able to work in real time, processing 15–18 panels per second. These results confirm the efficiency of the proposed algorithm in dealing with distorted or low-quality images and stand out as a simplified and effective alternative to the traditional methods and old associative memory algorithms. Therefore, this research provides a practical and reliable framework for identifying Iraqi vehicle plates in security and traffic applications with high time requirements.
The accurate identification of internal and external pressures in thick-walled hyperelastic vessels is a challenging inverse problem with significant implications for structural health monitoring, biomedical devices, and soft robotics. Conventional analytical and numerical approaches address the forward problem effectively but offer limited means for recovering unknown load conditions from observable deformations. In this study, we introduce a Graph-FEM/ML framework that couples high-fidelity finite element simulations with machine learning models to infer normalized internal and external pressures from measurable boundary deformations. A dataset of 1386 valid samples was generated through Latin Hypercube Sampling of geometric and l

It investigates: what strategies and mitigators do Iraqi-Kurdish English as a foreign language (EFL) learners use in situations of threat responses? The present investigation paper aims to examine impoliteness strategies and mitigators by these learners when they respond to threatening situations in their context. Thus, it fills a gap in pragmatics literature by investigating the reactions to threats in an Iraqi-Kurdish EFL context. To this end, 50 participants have participated in this study. An open-ended questionnaire in the form of a Discourse Completion Task (DCT) is used to elicit responses fr

Show MoreThe international order have been changed during the modern and contemporary history, and however those changing in international order doesn't go to beyond several concepts such as " balance of power";" conflict"; "power" and " threaten", which all those are depending on the fundamentals or basic terms which was called " power" or" hard power". In this time, we can say that the political relations among the effective units could be analyzed according to the concept of " balance of threaten" instead of the classic concept which had called " balance of power" that the scholars used to describe the international relations . In conclusion , the concept of " balance of threaten" has a significant importance in the studies of the internationa

Globalization, demographic shifts, political persecution, wars, armed conflicts, natural and environmental disasters, lack of skills, employment and other reasons in many countries have accelerated global migration rates. It has been observed in recent years that there is a rapid feminization of all forms and stages of migration. Women now make up nearly half of the migrant population around the world, and it appears that women have their own motives for migration in addition to family reunification in escaping Gender discrimination, political violence, and social independence, economic motives and the desire for better opp
