EFFECT OF PLANT GROWTH REGULATOR IN INCREASING THE EFFICACY OF HERBICIDES IN COMMON REED(Phragmites communis Trin.) CONTROL.

This study was carried out in epidemically field with common reed (Phragmites communis Trin.) plants in the Nassiriah cityThiQur governorate ,during 2009/2010 to investigate the influence of plant growth regulator gibberellin (GA3)and cytokinin (CK) in increasing the efficacy of glyphosate and Fluazifop-butyl in common reed control . Factorial experiment in RCBD was used with three replications in tow Factors . Glyphosate 3500mg .l־¹ gave the higher mean of injury score of common reed and lower mean of common reed shoots , shoots dry weight and rhizome dry weight(3.59,22.01 shoot /0.5m² ,0.57Kg / 0.5m² and 250.50gm /0,5m² ),respectively. All plant growth regulators gaves the higher means of common reed shoots and rhizome dry weight compared with untreated control, GA3 1500mg.l־¹ gave preceded significantly in common reed shoots and rhizome dry weight (25,95shoot/0.5m²,357.75gm/0.5m²) respectively . Add of plant growth regulators cause in increasing the efficacy of herbicides in influence of common reed plants , and application of GA31500mg.l־¹ with glyphosate 3500mg.l־¹ gave higher mean of in jury score of common reed and decrease of shoots dry weight (4.10 ,0.48 Kg 0.5m² ) , respectively

Diuretic Effect of Prosopis farcta in Comparison with Spironolactone and Hydrochlorothiazide in Hypertensive Rats

Prosopis farcta has been used traditionally for several diseases as cardiovascular, kidney, diabetes, bacterial infection and it has diuretic activity. This study was designed to evaluate the diuretic effects of P. farcta extract in comparison with spironolactone and hydrochlorothiazide in normal and hypertensive rats.Forty eight rats, were divided into Two groups. Effects of Magnetic Field on Growth and Electrical Characteristics of Tornado Gliding Arc Discharge

This study investigates the characterization and growth dynamics of a Magnetically Stabilized Gliding Arc Discharge (MSGAD) system, generating non-thermal plasma with argon gas under atmospheric pressure and flow rates of 1-5 L/min. The electrical properties and growth patterns concerning gas flow rates and applied voltages were examined utilizing a magnetic field for stability. Using a digital oscilloscope, a correlation between voltage reduction and increased current was uncovered. An algorithm analyzes digital images to compute arc length, area, and volume. Senserless Speed and Position of Direct Field Orientation Control Induction Motor Drive

Direct field-orientation Control (DFOC) of induction motor drives without mechanical speed sensors at the motor shaft has the attractions of low cost and high reliability. To replace the sensor, information on the rotor speed and position are extracted from measured stator currents and from voltages at motor terminals. In this paper presents direct field-orientation control (DFOC) with two type of kalman filter (complete order and reduced order extended kalman filter) to estimate flux, speed, torque and position. Simulated results show how good performance for reduced order extended kalman filter over that of complete  order extended kalman filter in tracking performance and reduced time of state estimation.

Block Method for SolvingState-Space Equations of Linear Continuous-Time Control Systems
