أرمينيا أكبر وأعلى إقليم جبلي في آسيا الغربية ، تقع عند الحدود الفاصلة بين آسيا وأوربا ، انعمت عليها الطبيعية بتضاريس كانت تارة خيراً وبركة على الأرمن وتارة اخرى شراً ووبالاً عليهم ، والى جانب كونها منطقة عبور هامة بين الشرق والغرب فان الارباح الطائلة التي جنتها من نشاطها الاقتصادي دفع الدول الكبرى آنذاك إلى السيطرة عليها وسلبها حريتها . وتتابع على ضمها الى نفوذه منذ ظهورها في القرن السابع قبل الميلاد كل من الاشوريين ثم الميديين لتصبح بعد قضاء الملك الاخميني كورش الثاني على الدولة الميدية ضمن ممتلكات امبراطوريته ، ومع ان قضاء الاسكندر على تلك الامبراطورية قد أفاد الأرمن إذ حقق لهم استقلالهم غير أن ذلك الاستقلال لم يدم طويلاً فعقب وفاته وأقتسام إمبراطوريته بين قواده أدعى السلوقيين (301-64ق.م) السيادة على أرمينيا لقربها من مركزهم في سوريا ، فصار تاريخ أرمينيا منذ ذلك الوقت صراعاً معهم ، حتى تمكنت من تحقيق استقلالها عقب انتصار الرومان على أنطيوخوس الثالث في معركة مغنيسيا 190ق.م ،غير انها ما كادت تقطف ثمار ذلك الصراع حتى وجدت نفسها مسرحاً لحروب مستمرة بين عملاقين جبارين هما الإمبراطورية الرومانية والدولة الفرثية فكانت تارة تميل إلى هذا الجانب وتارة أخرى لذاك ، وكانت مقدراتها متأرجحة بينهما، وأما ملوكها من الأرمن فكانوا في الغالب الآت صماء تحركها أيادي الإمبراطوريتين فتطبقان سياستهما التوسعية على حساب ضرر البلاد وأهله
It is noted in the title that the paper studies the viewpoint in the novel The Dog and the Long Night by the Iranian novelist Shahranoush Parsi Pour and in the novel Alibaba's Sad Night by the Iraqi novelist Abdulkhaliq Ar-Rikabi.
